The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #222 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AliExpress Double Open Comb razor and the Gillette Nacet Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Quite honestly this Matas soap from Denmark is nothing special - it lathers very well, yes and it gets the job done but except for a bit of a soapy scent it’s almost unscented. The postshave feeling is fairly comfortable but I needed some extra Proraso Blue balm to cool the slight irritation that I had. The Spicebomb fragrance is so beautiful. Three passes gave me a great BBS shave - all in all no complaints!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Today's shave is the one to beat for the week! Returned to TAOS and the excellent Valobra-era "Sandalwood" shave soap. A fantastic scent with a great lather built with the Semogue SOC boar brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, Fine "Santal Absolut" aftershave splash & TAOS "Sandalwood" EdT.

Another effortless BBS shave!

A tale of two shaves. Try as I may, I have not been able to get the Shave Den soap to work. After three tries using varying amounts of water and lathering time I’ve given up. In all cases the lather simply disappeared off my face before I could complete a pass. One pass of nearly unbearable tugging and I gave up, again. The second shave was delightful.
