Good morning Cadre! May be afternoon in some places but it's still morning here. ;)

First use of the new "American Blend" soap from Fine Accoutrements. Got a great shave! Nice slick, cushioning lather and post shave face feel was fantastic. Two passes were all I needed today for a DFS+++ result. Don't think fans will be disappointed. However, I am disappointed that they wont be bringing back the entire line. Hopefully they'll release some limited editions of the L'Orange Noir and Lavender Pour Homme soaps at some point. Finished with the matching splash (with added skin food) and EdT.

Received my new budget AC set up at a very affordable cost!
Use my slickest soaps among all as a precaution. Man...this soap is super-duper slick!! The lather quality and performance is outstanding! The scent is pleasant too.
Razor is kinda light but still heavier than the other aluminum. The top-cap thread seems crooked but it fits perfectly. Quite easy to load the blade and all. I've heard and seen so many AC shaves that I was a bit apprehensive...hahaha, worried unnecessarily.

The shave with razor paired with the blade was nothing short of awesomeness and was amazing!! I never knew shaving can be so soft, so smooth, so comfortable...and yet so sharp and efficient! What an experience!! The razor angle is easy to find...more shallow than steep...so easy to maneuver (especially under the nose) and it really covers more area...
After 3 silky soft passes, I get one of my closest shaves yet, especially for the adam apple area. Atg on trouble chin and lips area was silky smooth too! A wow shave experience! The aftershave was an excellent finish.

Williams 3017: Day 29

Even upping my loading time won't kill this puck. This soap is The Grimace...

I am quite happy with the Gold Dollar 66. For an approximately $7 SR, this thing honed up very well. I would call this a BBS if I hadn't missed a tiny portion of my sideburn on the XTG pass it seems (no idea how I did that). I also had to get in at least one AV and Williams shave. DFS + and change today.

Good morning Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Acceptable shave this morning. Didn't sleep well and was still tired when I awoke. My shave suffered because of it I suppose. A little more feedback from the alum block than I normally get. But thanks to the added skin food, the mug feels okay.

After a couple of rough attempts a few months back, I randomly had the urge to try a straight razor again. Thankfully it went ok. Kept it simple, didn't push it in the tough-tundra areas and came out with no cuts. Just a touch of that grazing burn feel, which was brought to my attention when doing the alum block test.
In all honesty, the most challenging part so far, is trying to avoid the razor from getting wet. Haha.20210302_123744.jpg
