The Process-
I am still using the Gaelic Tweed and probably will until the end of the week. I’m trying to get back into the work week shaves with one soap/AS. Then the random weekend shaves to mix it up a bit.

I started this shave with another hot shower and that was what I needed on another miserable cold day. We can have 70 degree days in a Texas winter, what’s this cold crap? Two of our family members had busted water lines and are without water. Another hasn’t had power in three days. We have offered them all refuge, but they are toughing it out. We have been blessed with propane and electricity. And it looks like it might start warming up soon. Life is good!

@MarkB and @woodpusher, thanks gents.

I had posted this in another neighborhood to someone asking about conditions down here. I got lazy, but here’s the copy/paste.

“Luckily the family that lost power is getting by with the fireplace. One of my family members lives close enough that they stop by daily for 5 gallons of water. Other family members are melting snow at the fireplace to flush toilets.

The electric issues are not rolling blackouts as the news says. It continuous blackouts of middle and lower class folks. The upper class still has electricity. Our wind farms are frozen (stupid green crap) and the power plants are running at a lower capacity due to pollution. I say crank them up to 11 and let’s get people some electricity and heat. Hotels are at capacity from people leaving their homes for heat. Delivery trucks can’t bring in grocery supplies. Several counties are under water boil restrictions because of water treatment issues. It’s a mess down here.”

The Process-
Great late morning shave today and just grabbed random bits to mix it up. A 20 second load time was all it took to whip up a nice, slick lather that smelled very nice.

10 laps on cotton and 40 on leather to get me going. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. The warm lather was simply amazing, once again. That was a nice relaxing shave and I am BBS for the win! That’s it right there. Also had a bit left over for a post shave lather while I cleaned my shave gear.

Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Yup, I’ll take rain as long as that crap is not frozen. Nice start to the day and I smell awesome. Life is good!

Post Shave-

The Process-
A very nice shave was had today. Stella Alpina hasn’t been on deck in a while and that is a real shave. It is a great scent. Grabbed the Simpson and whipped up a really nice lather.

10 laps on cotton and 40 on leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report.That was a very nice three passes and I am BBS for the win! Also had enough lather for a post shave ... good stuff.

A quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a bit of the ASB and everything was right as rain. I am going to have to shave with this more often. Using the smaller brushes, this triple milled soap should last a long time. Life is good!
