The Process-
I have been getting lax in my documentation and need to work on that. Anyway, an early morning shave today and I was still checking out the new Stirling scents I picked up last week. On deck was the Frankincense and Myrrh. This is a pleasant scent, mild and not overpowering. Typical great Stirling performance that I really like. Today I soaked the boar for a few minutes while I got everything together. I hit the puck with a damp brush for 30 seconds and whipped up a really nice lather.

I am using the Three Ranners SR again. This one hasn’t seen much action lately, but is a good razor. Swedish steel and the heaviest razor in my stash. This was my first razor and a sight unseen purchase from Larry at WhippedDog. 10 laps on cotton and 40 on leather to get me going. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. This razor doesn’t sing, but will take care of business. Very nice, relaxing shave and I am BBS for the win! Now that’s how to start a day right there. Still had plenty of lather for a post shave while I cleaned my shave gear too.

Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! Yes it was. No nicks, cuts or feedback from the AS. I do wish the scent was a little more pronounced though. That was a great shave and I am ready for the day! Life is good!

Nice shaves Tim! Anything to compare the Frankincense & Myrrh scent to? Is it pretty incense like?

Shave-
Razor: Solingen SR
Blade: none
Brush: SV/TSC LE Badger
Soap: Ethos Succes

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: Ethos Succes

This razor hasn’t seen much action in awhile. It’s an unbranded Solingen that I picked up NOS. I put a good edge on it, shaved a bit with it, then into the Dopp bag. Makes a great travel razor and not expensive if lost or stolen. Being NOS, it should have decades of life in it too.

The Ethos did a bang up job today. Loaded off the puck, upside down with a damp brush. It worked well loading that way and delivered a great shave. Three passes and I am BBS for the win! Wrapped everything up with a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! Great start to the day. Life is good!

That Ethos is amazing my friend. Thank you!

@MilkCrate seeing all these straight shaves makes me really wish I had more time to dedicate to really learning how to use one!
Man, good to see you back online again!

If you want to play with one, I can hone up a spare one for you to play with. I can also shoot you a link to a cheap strop to get you started. You could practice on weekends when you have more time.

How are the shaves going?
How is life going?
