Ramblings of a MilkCrate

Great shave Tim. I have the same issue with my GC .68. I can get my BBS to last a little longer if I really stretch my skin during the shave. I am finding that the GC is more for a quick shave for me. Like needing to shave really quick at night or something like that.

Thanks Pat! I think that’s where I’m at, quick and easy. I do like the heft of it though.

The Process-
A very nice shave this morning with a change up of all the gear. Time to give Fluffy's edge some more play time, so it got the nod. And I thought I would give the SV Stella Alpina another shot. Forgot to bloom the soap a bit, but used a wet brush with a 20 second load time. That combo whipped up a really nice lather. And although the scent is slight, I could still smell it.

10 laps on cotton and 50 on the leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. The razor is still holding a really nice edge and I am BBS for the win! Still had a bit of lather left for a post shave while I cleaned my shave gear.

Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. A health splash of the ASB and everything was right as rain! Yes ... yes it was. That was a great start to the day, just one work day to go. Life is good!

Home Front-
As Dave likes to put it "another kick in the nuts by 2020". Found out today that my mom has been violently sick for the last several days. She finally got some rest and slept for 36 hours straight and she is not right. My stepdad took her to the DR today and he suspects it's The Rona. Tests on both of them should be back in 3-5 day. Damn ... that's all I got.
