Great shave this morning. Mixed the kit up again and was rewarded with an outstanding shave. The AS didn't light me up today, I am BBS and ready for the day. Life is good!

Home Front-
I received my GF Trumper brush today. This thing is heavier than I thought and I believe it is vintage. The newer brushes have more of a designed GFT logo on them. I have seen this handle before on a vintage Truefitt & Hill Regency Super Badger. The brush was made by Vulfix for T&H, but I'm not sure if that's the case with this brush. Anyway, looking forward to trying it. The Super Badger is nice and soft and the bloom is not crazy wild. I will have to clean it up and see how it lathers.

Nice mail call Tim! Think the knot is vintage too? Hows it feel in the hand?

Not sure about the knot age, but probably vintage. The handle is wider and a bit taller than my DSC Badger. It is also surprisingly hefty. The knot also appears bigger than my 24mm DSC. I will get another brush pic for comparing.

Edit: almost forgot to mention that it feels comfortable in the hand.

Mixed all the kit up for today's morning shave. Up on desk is a new razor that I scored from Matt. It's a good looking razor and tested good to shave with, so let's give it a run. Stirling One got the nod, because reasons. And the kit was rounded out with the Graydog Boar. Went with my typical 30 second load time and whipped up a great smelling lather.

60 laps on leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. The razor was nice and smooth and did a bang up job on those whiskers. It was a quiet shave, so no scraping toast this morning. But it's all good. The Stirling was it's normal great self on the performance front and everything just came together for a BBS for the win! Yes ... a very nice shave in deed. Had plenty of lather for my post shave while I cleaned my shave gear too.

Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! I was lit up a bit and that caught me off guard because it was such a smooth, uneventful shave. I don't see any irritation or anything. Hm ... I'll have to pay more attention next time. Regardless, the AS toned down quickly and I am feeling and smelling great. Life is good!
Glad to hear you liked it! It is a great razor, but it is blood thirsty if you don't pay attention to it lol.

Great SHAVE!

Quick question, does this soap make my brush look fat? Very nice early morning shave again today. The pic has the wrong AS, but I corrected that before I applied the wrong one. This new brush is soft and appears to hold a lot of water. It lathers well and holds and releases soap well. It also splays a bit more than the DSC, but not bad considering it's size. I'll have to alternate between the two brushes for a few days to compare.

Nice 3 pass shave with no drama to report and I am BBS for the win! An excellent start to the day. As I mentioned, I did grab the correct AS and everything was right as rain! I hope Stirling brings this one back, I dig this scent. Life is good!

Home Front-
I am tapped out and got nothing for ya. Carry on.
