Fine L'Orange Noir~~Simpson Emperor 3~~Friodur 471~~Terre d'Hermès EdP
Today's shave features a soap, sadly discontinued, but nevertheless, performs far beyond its (then) price point.
The scent of the Fine soap is astoundingly close to the original EdT.
I have to stop here, because the typing lag is so severe, that I cannot even focus.
Have a great day.

Wonderful shave Joseph. I finally got the TdH in this weekend after a minor mix up. It is a fantastic scent for sure.

Between your enabling, and that of Matt, plus Clint below...

I finally pulled the trigger on TdH today. I needed some retail therapy. Gift set (EdT, AS, Soap, Shower Gel) en route with a clothing order...

Vintage Williams~~Simpson H4~~dubl duck Goldegde~~Rasasi La Yuqawam

Excellent shave with some products that never disappoint.
The Goldedge is my LOUDEST
razor. It's like buttering burnt toast with a microphone.
The H4 is a unique brush...and, yes, I am using the word correctly.
The gentleman, from whom I purchased this brush, had it commissioned by Simpson and to this day,
it's the ONLY Harvard 4 with a SiLVERTiP knot.

I shaved with mine this morning as well, Joseph! Mine’s a square toe, but is every bit as loud as yours, I’m sure!

It's a beautifully, designed razor, and a real pleasure to use. Take care, Jeff.
I have a fraghead question for you, Maestro. My son uses this stuff called Club de Nuit which he claims is the closest Aventus clone. Would you know anything about that stuff?

Hi Jeff,
I know a great deal about it, having owned a bottle. Yes, it is a very close dupe of the Creed. However, users complain about the "Lemony" opening (rather than Creed's Pineapple) as being harsh. Once it dries down, it has been said, that this juice most closely resembles the original 2010 Aventus. For the money, it's worth a try. Also, you should tell your son to purchase a bottle of Demeter Pineapple spray, many users love how it makes the CdN even more like the Creed.
This is a great price:

I Coloniali~~Simpson "The Hive"~~1941 Gillette Ranger Tech/Feather

When Gillette introduced the Ranger Tech, the whole game changed.
This razor, while not only being "drop-dead" gorgeous, is one of the nicest razors to use.
The gap isn't extreme, but rather wide enough and very easy to maintain.
I gambled with a 4th shave from a Feather blade, and while the shave was great,
I was compelled to do a lot of "buffing" to finally achieve a BBS shave.
The I Coloniali soap is my absolute HARDEST soap in my den.
Maybe it's quadruple-milled? :ROFLMAO:
Regardless, why, oh why this was discontinued is beyond me.
If I may, here's another picture from my daughter's wedding.

AoS Oud~~Simpson 57 The "Douglas"~~Ralf Aust~~Tom Ford Oud Wood
Arriving yesterday was this bottle of Tom Ford Oud Wood, so I knew I had to incorporate it in today's shave.
The soap was a no
-brainer, and is currently one of my favorite lathering creams.
The LE "Douglas" (TSN 1/30, Simpson 57) is so lovely to use. Plenty of backbone, without sacrificing and softness.
No scritch or scrub with this baby.
40 laps on the Vladimir Savin 2" strop and I was cooking with natural gas.
Two passes and a DFS+ was secured.
No cuts, nicks or irritation.
Here's some info on the Oud Wood:

Anyone expecting an animalistic, barnyardy oud will be sorely disappointed.
This juice is herbal and
spicy, with a touch of powder. Longevity has been called into question.
We'll see...

Another fabulously fragrant shave, Maestro! I shaved with King of Oud this morning! I’m not a fan! I probably wouldn’t be able to recognize a real Oud scent. Glad your shave went well!

Love Oud Wood! Crazy that it should not have good projection for you. A couple spritzes lasts me at least a work day, perhaps a little rubbing off onto my clothing.
I have yet to make my own judgement. I sprayed it twice on my chest at 9am. It's now 6 hours later and I think I will try three sprays next time. However, I have a bottle of Dyptique Oud Palao due to arrive this afternoon.
