ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Simpson "Rover"~~Barbasol FH/Sharp Star~~Lavande 44
Beeeeeautiful ETHOS lather, lovingly created with the noble aid of my trusty "Rover".
Adding water to the soap can be tricky. Too much-too soon
and you will break the soap and not be able to correct it.
Better is the technique that ULTRA-SLOWLY adds a minuscule amounts of water at a very slow pace.
This may seem too difficult, but the results are worth the effort.

Fresh Sharp Star in the Barbasol and the results were nothing surprising, very smooth shave without incident.
Wearing one of my mostest, bestes stank juices today:

Being a lavender-lover, this juice spins the traditional lavender into an oudy, woody, spicy man-stank-juice.
Two thumbs...way up. (y)(y)

AoS (Valobra) Lavender~~90th Anniversary Simpson Astor~~Leresche #51/Sharp Star~~Oud Assam
This razor is an enigma. On the surface, it appears to be a Gillette Old Type clone,
however, it shaves differently. Indeed, the Sharp Star blade, while only on its second use, didn't perform as expected.
Yesterday, same blade in my 2011 R41 was extra-brilliant.
My neck received the majority of the abrasion. Soothed with some balm, but needs 48 hours for a complete recovery.
I also left a 1/2" awkward set-down mark yesterday, which I proceeded to re-open today---also on my neck. Needless to say, Primo won't be wearing a wool turtleneck today or tomorrow.
I do smell extraordinary. I layered the Rania J. with 4 spritzes of Dehn Al Oodh Malaki.
Booyakasha.

Antica Barbieria Colla~~dubl duck #4~~RazoRock GC/Light Brigade (7)~~Mukhalat Malaki Attar
Continuing my conquering of the "Traditional Shaving Paste".
I am going to finish this tub, even if it kills me.
Here's the skinny:
It's Cella with a price tag.
You're much better served with a tub of 3P
Screen Shot 2022-01-07 at 1.02.45 PM.png
and Cella AND Boellis Panama, than paying over $70 for a 150g tub of this soap.
Do not misunderstand, this is a good soap. Just not $70.00 good.

I could have hydrated it better---user error.
Nonetheless, the Game Changer, loaded with the 6x used Wilkinson Chromium, a.k.a. Light Brigade,
continues to impress. Smooth and effortless---even on my notoriously, sensitive lower neck.
Cleaned off the residual soap with a splash of Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel,
followed by their matching Aftershave Balm.

This is a very good product. Shake well and a "little dab'll do ya".
My scent du jour is an Arabian Attar (concentrated oil)

I don't get the tobacco in the scent notes, but a healthy dose of Saffron.
Oud...not so sure, probably none to be had.

Turkish Rose is prominent, so if you aren't a rose-fan, try before you buy.

ABC~~Rubberset 400/3~~RR GC/Light Brigade (8)~~Burt's Bees Bay Rum
Normally, I don't shave, when I do not enough time to enjoy it, but I made an exception today.
The Rubberset can make a great lather out of any soap, with the possible exception of Dominica Bay Rum shave soap,
and it performed admirably, digging out a goodly amount of the "upscale Cella"
Went right to the face and with the Game Changer .84 OC (I have dubbed it the Wolfman Killer), loaded with the same Light Brigade, performed a two-pass shave WTG/ATG and was quite pleased with the results.
The Wilkinson Chromium, because of its scarcity and cult status, sees little use in my den. However, when I load one,
I can expect to get between 25-30 shaves, and I am not one that regularly pushes a blade beyond its limits.
Burt's Bees Bay Rum is a favorite of mine, but if you peruse the 5-6 reviews on
basenotes.net you will see they are mixed, either loving it, as I do, or abhorring it. That's the nature of the beast.

SWMBOSOA© says it all.

Antica Barbieria Colla~~Simpson Astor~~dubl duck Goldedge~~Diptyque Oud Palao
This razor is fun to use and delivers great results.
The lower neck was reasonably smooth, but not BBS, by a long shot.
Oud/Rose was the stank du jour.
This combination is very popular and there are many, MANY to choose from.

Animalic and Oudy and Rosy = a winning-combination.

ABC~~Simpson~~Wostenholm~~LaYuqawam
Thank you to @Bill M for re-igniting my enjoyment of straight shaving.
The Pipe Razor is probably the easiest to strop of all my straights.
How it sits in the hand; tight pins; geometry, etc.
Lest I forget to mention the nice, keen edge.
I am diligently getting to the bottom of this soap. The soap fairy keeps adding a few grams every evening.
Manchurian hair is thicker than Best and lends itself to a "scrubbier" feel.
Opened up a small cut from yesterday, but it didn't bleed.
Post shave was "business as usual" and today's scent is from the house of Rasasi:

What we have here, is a clone (not quite) of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather.
TF has a much stronger raspberry opening, while the Rasasi substitutes a stronger leather accord.
There is a fruity opening, which is not too sweet.

This is very good juice and worth your attention.
