If it has been inked, but stopped writing, then a quick dip of the tip in water could work. If this doesn't work let me know.

It might be the ink. There are some dip pen inks that are lacquer based and could cause some real havoc.

Edit: we posted at the same time. I think it is because it wasn't flushed. Some gunk could have gotten in the feed. When this cartridge runs out, just clean it well, and you should be good. This has happened to me before too. Once I cleaned it, it was good to go.

Yep. I want a brown to use as my every day ink for writing in my notebook for work. The Walnut is too dark to look like brown and the Herbin is on the green side to me. There are so many colours out there, why choose black?

That's why I picked up the noodlers forest green
 
I tend to go more towards the greens, browns, and blue-blacks at work. I do keep my Kaweco loaded with black just for use in the everyday world.

Now I just have to decide what ink to use in my new pen. There are just too many choices. I was leaning towards Platinum Classic Green Black. I'm just not site though. It is a button filler and I don't know how tough it will be to clean out an iron gall ink like that out of the sac.
