One blade February

I'm on shave 14 of my second Parker Premium. Do I need to say it again..... dreadful blade. The first one gave up on my at shave 12. No longer provided close shaves. But really, almost every shave has been draggy. I wouldn't say uncomfortable, and definitely not painful..... but not really comfortable either. (What's in between comfortable and uncomfortable?) I switched up my soap, and decided to get away from my samples, which were all unknowsm and go with something I knew. Mystic Water. Glad I did. A marked improvement over the Southern Witchcrafts soaps I'd been testing. Nothing wrong with them, they just weren't helping the situation with the blade at all. And the MW really has made the blade last just a bit longer. Two more to go, and I'll be sticking with MW for those last shaves.

I believe the word you're looking for is tolerable

This year's one blade in February was my D1/1958 Flare Tip Super Speed with a Gillette Silver Blue. I took it all the through the month and March 1st too. 29 shaves. Those last three or four were better than this morning's shave with a M1/1967 Black Handle Super Speed and a Feather with only 20 shaves. The GSB is still in the razor but will be out of rotation for a couple of weeks. We will see how it is when I get back to it.

I did end up finishing the month with the same Feather Pro and Astra SP I began the month with. Both blades were plateaued, the Feather on the edge of unusable, but both still better than the Assured. :sneaky:

Well, I made it through all of February on a single Rapira SS. I think I got around 23-24 shaves from it. It performed well for me all month, although it did start to tug a bit towards the end.

I am very happy with the performance of the blade.

With the site being in mid-upgrade when February came to a close I didn't get a chance to comment on mu one blade experience. I ended up using my custom modified gold dollar straight razor the entire month. I had intended to limit the blade care to stropping but I did end of doing a dozen strokes on a new little stone I got to see what it did to the shave (did this with 2 days left in the month). The improvement wasn't substantial (how could it be, i only did 12 strokes) but when all is said and done a 30 shave edge is very capable but a fresh edge with a few shaves on it is WAY better. The last few shaves left my neck with an odd stubble arrangement that made me itchy. This itchy feel was very much the reason I chose to move to straight razors to begin with, most other blades (carts, particular) left me feeling itchy later in the day.

I ended Up dragging One Blade February into the first few days of March and ended up going either 26 or 27 shaves. So *30...

The Ladas Super Stainless held up very well, but in the end I was ready to move on so I could start switching up razors again. I stuck with the same razor to eliminate any other variables.
