Back at the Feather Pro. Much better shaves than the first time. Yesterday was actually very good with pretty much BBS on the cheeks from one pass. It's still a little sporty and I thought I felt it dig in on the neckle region today, but no blood no foul. No stinging at all yesterday and only a little today. Got the final design for the kitchen and heading into the showroom tomorrow to pick out the doors. As long as they open and close, I don't have much of an opinion on this part.

Card stock it is.
I once worked on the plans for a very large house that the husband wanted very specific material and features in every room of the house....except for the kitchen. He just said....that not my department. I think they spent more in that one room than any two rooms combined. The wife took major revenge for his attitude.

Raise your hand if you think Panteha routinely gets what she wants from Mr. I'll-Go-With-The-Flow-If-Get-A-Cigar-room.

Kitchens are probably the most expensive room to redo. I have 12,000 in the cabinet build and installation alone and my dad did them. I have 6,000 in lumber and that was from work at their cost. I got it for about half price a board foot that my dad could.
Something we did that I recommend is we did pullouts on everything. All of the shelves in our bottom cabinets and even the pantry pull out like a drawer. I work too hard and I'm getting too old to crawl on the floor to see what's in the cabinet.
We also went with corner drawers. I hate lazy suzans, and don't need to give the grandkids a place to hide if it was open, so we picked the drawers. Love them.
Also, the little false front that goes in front of the sink, that is a tip out that has a stainless steel tray. Nice place to hide your Sponges or brushes you use for dishes, but still convenient to access.

Word. Yep, we're doing pullouts and I'm glad I'm not seeing an itemized bill for the cabinets. The only thing that was just a box was for the sink, so I asked about a pull out there because you always end up on your knees looking in the back for cleaning supplies. That added another $400 so I said nope. Spent a tiring weekend out picking out the cabinet doors, colour, flooring (that was fun as I didn't know my wife was thinking dark and I was assuming light), then back out for appliances. Then Sunday my wife was having 2nd thoughts on the flooring we chose so back out again. The last 10min of that was the only fun part of the weekend because I found out the guy that was helping us rolls his own cigars and makes his own wine.
