Good golly! Everyone around here knows it's a rarity for me to update the journal on the weekends, Bruce. Nice Zoom call last night and some more car frustration. This time we drove up to the north bay an hour to see a car. As soon as I opened the door I knew I screwed up. White seat. She doesn't want white seats. I only search for black interior and somehow this one slipped through and I didn't pay attention to the inside when looking at the pictures. So, now we have one being shipped from Las Vegas to look at. I mentioned on the Zoom call we watched A King's Speech as part of our movie poster-watching thingie. That's a good movie right there. Then yesterday my wife came in when I was halfway through episode 2 of the 2nd season of Squid Games. She didn't watch the first season with me, but I think that was enough to get her hooked.

@NurseDave / @BarberDave you guys know any place I can get a sample of Floris "Islay"? This frag sounds intriguing but $330 is pretty steep for a blind buy.

Edit: I checked on the Floris website but they font offer samples for this one.

You do know that I would drive a car out from Vegas for you......right? I only require a good meal, a ride to the airport and a bunk next to Stefan in Warehouse 2.

With two weeks into the year, this link should come in handy. https://days.to/until/christmas

Respiratory/flu season is in full effect here. Hospitals are bursting at the seams. For the last three days my body has been trying to get sick. A little congestion one day, tickle in the throat the next. Just enough for me to assume the next day I'll wake up in full-blown man-flu, but not so far. I do try to kill off the baddies with high-proof liquor, but that's also discouraged at work. Odd since I work in a building devoted to healing. Friggin Western medicine and no honor to those cures of the past!

Dave, we all know that it’s the insurance industry that dictates medicine. Too bad the signup season has passed. 🙁

Gear said this scent was one his wife wanted for herself from the Le Labo line. So if he was a little worked up all it, it's likely because I had it on.

Busy times. Staff evals, year-end analysis, setting staff goals for this year, setting hospital goals for this year. And few meetings so I've been on my own for lunch!

The car has made it from Vegas, so we go look at it in a few hours. If all goes well, we swap it out with what my wife has been driving and then she has 4 days to get used to it before returning to work. And just in time, tomorrow we also go to the surgeon and she finally can stop wearing her neck brace and she can drive for the first time in 3 months. Given everything at work, it's rough to be off a day, but been waiting for this one for a while.

Good to hear your wife’s neck brace is coming off. Hope she likes the car. 👍

Not only a long weekend, but a lot of stuff happening weekend. Biggest news is my wife was finally cleared to stop wearing a cervical collar. Which means able to drive and go to work. So she's back to work this morning. She has great coworkers and everyone is telling her to ease back into it. They even gave her a code to a city warehouse where they park the company cars if it's easier for her to drive in. Then we ended up getting the car we were hoping to for her. We ran into some title issues with her trade-in, so hoping that all gets worked out by the end of this week. But we worked things around so she could have her new car for the weekend to get used to it before going to work. Man, I'll tell you, that thing has many more features than mine. One I wish every car had is a chime that goes off at a stoplight when it turns green. But I'll post a video of the coolest one. I made lasagna with a homemade sauce as well. Kinda proud it turned out ok, kinda bummed it was "ok" after so many hours of simmering and cooking.
