Seems like we're well into the new year already, but I see by my journal it's only day #3. We didn't do much to celebrate New Year's. But on the evening of the 1st we went to this old estate with huge gardens to see it all decorated for the holidays. It was actually more interesting than I thought with each section of the gardens themed with a different light style and the inside done up very well. Pretty dang slow at work because I'm procrastinating on year-end/beginning stuff. But also sad because there are no meetings so I'm on my own for lunch.

Gear will feel my pain as I whine about returning to the full 5-day week. This weekend was boxing all the holiday stuff up time. The house looks so sad without all the lights and pretty decorations. I probably should have thought of this a while ago, but my wife should be able to stop wearing her neck collar at the end of next week after dealing with it for 3 months. I got to thinking about her starting to drive after and the limitations she'll have with her neck movement. That led to looking at trading in her car for a different one with side-view cameras that turn on with the turn signals. Many cars have this now for parking, but not so many while driving at speed and it's not easy to find which do. Ends up we're probably going to be getting a 2nd Tesla. The one she wants isn't the one that 90% of the people get, so while there are a ton of used Teslas off of leases out there, we're having to do a deep search to find what she wants. We might end up getting one through Carvana. It's crazy how many places there are to get cars sight unseen, but they seem to do a good job with photos and documenting any damage.

Wait....Hang on......Am I reading this right????? Bougie isn't ordering up a car service for Mrs. Bougie??? For shame. That's a -50 points on the Bougiemeter.
