Dude, I'm bummed just predicting the shave den potentially being out of commission for a while!Good thing you got that hard hat from Ken a while back!
Cobb Salads for everyone!!!!!It’s all about doing what you enjoy…if you enjoy challenge, why not! You’ve basically been doing a lot of the job already right? This would at least give you some more “authority” and you could be the change! Maybe demand more free lunches in the contract though.
No, this is actually a totally different job, just the same job level in a way. I'm in the Quality department now. I try to get the nurse managers to do things to make things better and bug the nursing director when need be. This is the nursing director position. So I'd be moving back into operations and the nursing department. Much bigger place. Nurse managers, assistant managers, nurses, techs, wound care, etc. It’s all about doing what you enjoy…if you enjoy challenge, why not! You’ve basically been doing a lot of the job already right? This would at least give you some more “authority” and you could be the change! Maybe demand more free lunches in the contract though.
Oooph, that's a long haul.Dang, sorry Dave.
The missus announced we’re back to masks for the long plane trip next week. Bah humbug!
Right!?!?! Well, I don't know if it's that or scotch, so I cover my bases.A cigar a day keeps the Covid away
Another thing to consider is that while your hospital may not reward the director position, not all institutions are like that. Five years as director now may set you up for a more lucrative offer later. But the challenge would be fun. And I love coaching people and seeing improvements.
