Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Going with a couple of classics from The Cars this morning. Hope you enjoy.
Another phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to Hub City Soap Co. and their "Pipe Dreams" shave soap and splash. This is another one that I haven't used in a long time. I remember it having a great lather but the scent always left me wanting. I rediscovered why this morning. The scent is definitely on the softer side for my tastes and there's a note in there (I think it's "cherry") that kind of pushes it into something similar to a Cherry Coke. It's not "bad", it's just different. As mentioned, it does produce an incredible lather (built with the Saponificio Varesino badger brush) which makes up for it. Three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave lotion and Phaedon "Tabac Rouge" EdP. Another easy BBS shave!
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Another chilly morning. Not as bad as yesterday though. Not the best night's rest. Coffee and a great shave are helping.

It's "Women of Rock Wednesday" and today I'm going with a couple from Elizabeth Fraser and Cocteau Twins. Hope you enjoy.
Wow! What an incredible shave this morning! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's namesake, "Dragonsbeard" suite of products. This is on oud/sandalwood fan's dream come true. Dark, warm and resinous balanced with sweetness from the vanilla and tonka bean. A phenomenally thick and slick lather built with the Wild West Brushworks synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching skin food splash and EdP. Another easy BBS shave!

Fantastic Earl Grey tea scent with an incredibly thick and cushioning lather built with the Ever-Ready synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash and Crabtree & Evelyn "Nomad" EdT. Another easy BBS shave!

Wonderful shave with which to close out the workweek! Returned to Noble Otter and their excellent "Tis the Season" shave soap and splash. Fantastic holiday scent with an incredibly thick and cushioning lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash and Burberry "London" EdT. Another easy BBS shave!

It's "Synthwave Saturday" so here's a playlist for you to get your Cyberpunk on! Hope you enjoy.
Late post as usual, but a wonderful shave to start the day! Returned to Ariana & Evans and their excellent "The Novelist" shave soap and splash. Fantastic scent with an incredibly thick and cushioning lather built with the Simpson badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash and Viktor & Rolf "Spicebomb" EdT.
Nigh a "perfect shave" today! The lather was phenomenal allowing the Karve + Gillette Platinum combo to slide effortlessly over my ugly mug! Literally NO feedback from the alum! Another easy BBS shave!
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: A warm, windy and muggy day today. Gonna be above normal temps the entire week. Birthday coming up Monday. Already have my special shave planned out!

Rocking out this morning with Jersey rockers, Symphony X and their 2000 release, V - The New Mythology Suite. Hope you enjoy.
A fantastic birthday shave this morning! Returned to what has become on of my favorite shaving combinations, vintage Crabtree & Evelyn "Mysore Sandalwood" shave soap paired with ETHOS "Mysore Santal" splash and EdT. Fantastic scent (though light) from the soap with an wonderful lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and capping it off with the ETHOS "Mysore Santal" skin food splash and EdT.
Deliberately skipped shaving yesterday in order to make today's extra nice! Again, zero feedback from the alum! Another easy BBS shave!

A grab bag of items this morning which together provided stellar results. Great lather from the (Valobra) AOS shave soap built with the Ever-Ready synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Quinn's Lavender witch hazel and Brut aftershave lotion and EdT.
