Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Closing out the workweek with a couple from Alice in Chains. Hope you enjoy.

Great shave with which to close out the workweek! Returned to Southern Witchcrafts and the Suspiria-inspired shave soap, "Tres Matres". Fantastic scent with incredible lather built with the Sorrentino Brushworks synth for three passes with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with alum, Quinn's Lavender witch hazel, followed by Czech & Speake "No.88" ASL & EdP. Fantastic BBS results!

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Low 50's out the door this morning! So invigorating!!! 🍂🍁

Hope you have a great day. :)

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

It's "Synthwave Saturday" so here's a playlist for you. Hope you enjoy.

Great shave this morning! Had a different shave planned but changed up this morning with the arrival of "Mid Century Modern" shave soap from Eleven. Fantastic light, spicy, floral scent with a base of talc and amber. Incredible lather built with the Rich Yuengel badger brush for three passes with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with alum, Quinn's Lavender witch hazel, followed by vintage Palmolive ASL, Clubman talc & Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Sacré Bleu" EdP. Again, fantastic BBS results!

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Chill day on tap. Gonna watch some games and will be going out later. My brother's band is playing tonight.

Hope you have a great day. :)

Not so much lately. Work and other things getting in the way. The singer owns his own HVAC business and with as hot as summer as we’ve had this year, he’s been very busy.
I don’t know, Mark, Mick Jagger took time out of his busy schedule to sing with the Stones, and look how well that worked out for him and his bandmates.

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

A relaxing ambient stream for your Sunday. Hope you enjoy.

Phenomenal shave this morning! This was the shave I had originally laid out for yesterday and boy, did it deliver! An older puck of the C&E Mysore Sandalwood but there's still quite a bit of scent left. Incredible lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with alum, Thayers unscented witch hazel, followed by ETHOS Grooming Essentials "Mysore Santal" skin food splash, Clubman talc & ETHOS Grooming Essentials "Mysore Santal" EdP. Like yesterday, fantastic BBS results! LOVE this ETHOS splash & EdP. Wonderful sandalwood scent. Very warm, resinous and slightly smokey. I enjoyed it so much I may use this setup again tomorrow.

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Question for you... Do you consider Sunday the end of the old week, or the beginning of the new one?

Hope you have a great day. :)

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Rocking out this morning with a couple of classics from The Who. Hope you enjoy.

Setting the tone for the entire week with this morning's shave! Had planned to do a repeat of yesterday's shave but then saw the tub of PAA "Sun Down" on the counter this morning and realized that it had been a LONG time since I last used it. And so I decided to go with it today. Fantastic Old School scent! An homage to the old Gillette "Sun Up" aftershave & cologne from the 60's. If Skin Bracer and Old Spice had a bastard son, it would smell like this. Incredible lather from the CK-6 base built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with alum, Thayers unscented witch hazel, followed by the matching ASL & EdP. Fantastic BBS results! Still going to revisit the C&E / ETHOS sandalwood set up this week. Too good not to!

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Not much to report. Tired this morning. Crazy dreams last night. One woke me up but I can't remember what it was about. Coffee and a great shave are helping!

Hope you have a great day. :)

The first time I heard “Who Are You” on the radio, I couldn’t believe my ears. I bought the album and verified the lyrics in question. They got away with it for awhile. 😆

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Rocking out this morning with some Journey. Hope you enjoy.

Fantastic shave this morning! Returned to Le Père Lucien and their wonderful "Cologne-Fougère" shave soap. A very nice fresh, green scent with incredible lather built with the PAA synth for three passes with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with alum, Quinn's Lavender witch hazel, followed by Pitralon Classic ASL, Clubman talc & GFT "Wild Fern" EdC. Fantastic BBS results!

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Not the best night's rest. Crazy dreams. Here's another question for any and all.. I'm someone who tends to smack that snooze button in the morning and what I've experienced at times seems strange to me. Many times I'll go back to sleep and I've even drifted into other dreams during that short window. Eight minutes after hitting the snooze button the alarm will go off again. However, those intervening eight minutes seem much longer in sleep/dream time. Anyone else experienced this?

Hope you have a great day. :)

Absolutely! Time feels very fluid and often much longer in my dream world!

Well, you technically are probably still in REM sleep and the sound of the alarm causes the Flight or fight part of the brain to react for the 1-2 seconds to hit the snooze, so when you go back to sleep the adrenaline causes a more hightened dream state.
