Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Today's my Friday so I'm ending my workweek with a couple of classics from the immortal Prince. Hope you enjoy.

Williams Mug Soap Challenge: Day 72

Phenomenal shave this morning. Great lather as usual built with the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "The Peregrino" synth for three passes with the '59 Gillette Fatboy. Finished up with alum, Thayers Cucumber witch hazel, vintage Mennen "Skin Bracer" aftershave lotion and Geo. F. Trumper "Wild Fern" EdC

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Not the best night's rest. Coffee and a great shave are helping.

Hope you have a great day. :)

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Going with an epic piece from multi-instrumentalist artist, Caught In Joy. Hope you enjoy.

Williams Mug Soap Challenge: Day 73

Late post but a fantastic shave to begin the day. Great lather as usual built with the Moon Soaps "Green Zebra" synth for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '59 Gillette Fatboy. Finished with alum, Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, Royall Fragrances "Royall Lyme" aftershave lotion and Clubman "Citrus Musk" EdC

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Wow! Lots going on today. Almost wish the office had been open. Would have probably been easier. LOL! Highlight of the day though was making some homemade San Marzano tomato sauce. Little prep time but to make it come out right takes hours of slow simmering. However, the end result is worth it. Not many ingredients, 4 cans of D.O.P. certified whole San Marzano peeled tomatoes (I typically use Flora or Delallo brands), 10 cloves of garlic finely minced, quality olive oil, one carrot, the rind from a wedge of Parmesan Reggiano cheese and fresh basil. Basically sauté the garlic in olive oil for no more than a minute. Add the four cans of tomatoes along with the carrot (adds sweetness and balances out acidity) and the cheese rind. The rind wont melt but it will get soft and imparts more flavor to the sauce. Cover but not completely and simmer on medium-low heat for 4 to 6 hours, stirring periodically to prevent scorching. The longer it simmers, the better the result. Went for about 5 hours on the sauce today. After it's done, remove the carrot and cheese rind and add chopped fresh basil. Delizioso!

Hope you have a great day. :)

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

It's "Synthwave Saturday" so here's a live stream. Hope you enjoy.

Williams Mug Soap Challenge: Day 74

Another late post but a fantastic shave to start the day. Great lather as usual built with the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "The Starcraft" synth for three passes with the '58 Gillette Super Speed. Finished with alum, Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, Williams "Aqua Velva" aftershave lotion and talc.

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: "Operation Declutter" is going here at the Hogan household. It's amazing how much crap you attain over time. I was finding stuff from over twenty years ago. More to go through but I'm not stopping,. Got three "piles" going, one for disposal, one for donation and one to keep. At the same time I'm taking care of Crystal. The did something that threw her back out.

Hope you have a great day. :)
