Today's shave is the one to beat for the week! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's fantastic Creed Aventus homage, "Succès" suite of products. Great scent with an incredible lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and the matching skin food splash & EdP.

Another fantastic shave this morning! Returned to the unscented Valobra era The Art of Shaving shave soap. Phenomenal lather from that Valobra base, built with the Semogue boar brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur aftershave lotion & EdC.

Phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to Wholly Kaw and their excellent "Chypre Rose Concerto" shave soap & splash. Fantastic scent with a phenomenal lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave lotion & Domenico Caraceni "1913" EdP.

It's been a while since I last used anything from Wholly Kaw and today reminded me how great their products are. The scent is wonderful. Matches perfectly with the DC frag in all its soapy, barbershop-rose goodness.

Fantastic scent with a phenomenal lather built with the Ever-Ready synth for three passes with the Tatara Masamune and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, Fine Accoutrements "American Blend" aftershave lotion & Yves Saint Laurent "Rive Gauche Pour Homme" EdT.

Rive Gauche is indeed the GOAT!

Wonderful shave this morning! Returned to PAA and their excellent "Controversy" shave soap and splash. A fantastic leather-forward scent with accompanying notes of patchouli & sandalwood. A super slick and cushioning lather built with the RajonCajon synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash & Dior "Leather Oud" EdC. This cologne is NOT for the faint of heart. Big civet note. Definitely a cold weather frag.

Love a shave to beat - excellent!

I have been a very big Rush fan for most of my life - discovering them through my older brother at 10 or 11, with my first show being at the age of 12 (Maple Leaf Gardens, September '84, a show they shot and released on video...). As I age, this song resonates more and more. And funnily, I've become an enormous fan of Aimee Mann - she is now in my all time fave songwriters list!

Fantastic shave this morning! Returned to RazoRock and their excellent "Green Label" shave soap. A wonderful scent with woody, vetiver, green notes along with a great lather built with the Ever-Ready synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, Aqua Velva Original Sport aftershave splash & Caron "Pour un Homme de Caron" EdT. These little pucks from RazoRock are great lather producers! Very slick, very thick.

For example, during the workweek, when I get home from work I change clothes, wash my face, put on some deodorant and sometimes, I even spray on a little more of the cologne I wore that day. It just makes me feel good. Anyone else do something similar?
