Let's All 3017... The 2021 Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations Edition!

Shave #9 today. It was good. I am still blooming the soap and getting good results. Dumping the bloom water seems to be lessening the tingles.

I weighed the tub post-shave. It came in at 86 grams including the tub lid. That makes 80 grams used, which makes almost 9 grams a shave. The soap won't last long.

Shave #10 was really good today. Although, I need to take a day off to let the scrape on my adam's apple heal.

As I was loading, I punched through the bottom of the puck. My tub looks much like the picture posted by @DeepSea in post #62 above, but I think my doughnut hole is a little larger. This is the fastest 3017 that I have done so far. Even if I skip my shave tomorrow I may be able to finish the tub by a week from today. This gives me hope for the the rest of my 3017s for 2021. I have a ton of artisan soaps to kill.

I am looking forward to getting a few shaves in on the tub of Smoked Black Tea before the start of February when I will be 3017ing a puck of vintage Williams.

Shave 11 today, and used up the last of the puck. Actually didn't quite have enough to build a lather and needed to supplement.

Started with 3.7 oz (105g)
So average .33 oz (9.5 g) soap per shave.

After shave 2, I weighed and estimated I'd get 11-12 total shaves, and that was pretty darn close.

So I'm out guys! It was fun while it lasted. Glad this one didn't drag on, lol. Have Fun!

Shave 10 was great for me this morning. Skipped my shave yesterday due to sleeping in and then just going on with the day. Haven't broken through just yet but i think i am getting close based on the thickness of the soap looking from the side of the tub. This may end up being the fastest(in time, not necessarily # of shaves) that i have gone through a soap. Pretty sure i will be done with plenty of time before the Williams 3017.

Missed a shave Saturday. So ten shaves in so far. And I am noticing a sizeable dent. The soap is picking up pace now! Still loving it though!

I'm getting there...The soap is showing signs of weakness. There may be an end in sight!

The end is not in sight, but I'm getting somewhere! This soap continues to perform well.

It looks like the Herb Infused is far and beyond the longer lasting soap... Is that a fair statement?

I am fond of the original formula. It does very well and is nicely priced too. To see a 3.5oz puck beat a 4oz tub in lifespan is icing on the cake. [emoji106]

Shave #11 today. It was stellar, except for the minor tingles from the fragrance oils. The shave was BBS.

My issue today was one of the good 3017 problems to have. The "ring of death" around the edge of the tub started breaking up and lifting out of the tub as I was attempting to load the brush. I still got a big load of soap out of the tub. It was just more of a challenge today. Tomorrow I may just pull a chunk out of the tub rather than attempt to load the brush. It won't be long now.

The never ending soap is showing signs of wearing down! I might actually finish by the end of January!

Number 13 in the books. Still a lot of life left in this one! I'm glad I decided to jump in on this 3017 and begin my SR journey at the same time. This soap is super slick and lathers very easily. So I'm glad I'll be stuck with it for a while!
