Shave #247 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Colonial Armored General, Feather Pro blade, TH Taurus A synth brush, Catie’s Bubbles Un Jour Gris soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, LNHC Barber Shoppe post shave elixir, and TF Oud Minerale to finish!

Got to wake up a bit late, which was nice.

Great shave this morning as we prepare to head out. Eldest has a volleyball game he was called out to last minute, so once that is done, we’re off.

Shave #248 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Astra SP blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, Clown Puke tub soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Skin Bracer AS, and TF Oud Wood to finish!

Thankfully uneventful trip to the parents’ house. No traffic and only one stop needed.

Pretty good shave this morning despite cramped quarters. Oh how I miss soft water like this! Topped off with some Skin Bracer and TF Oud Wood…yummy!

Grandpop’s hundredth this afternoon then we run back to the in-law’s, pack up the bags and dogs, and then hit the road back home. Probably won’t get home till 10…ew. Thankfully no more long drives like this planned for a little while.

Gear: Colonial Armored General, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Moka synth brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Barbasol Pacific Rush AS, and D&G Light Blue EDT to finish!

Decent nights rest. Thankfully we got in at a semi-reasonable hour last night (about 10:45pm) even with a couple stops. Tiring but great weekend.

Back to the routine today. Cleaned up and shaved with a nice blue/aquatic profile. Decided to use the General since it didn’t much attention this last weekend with us gone (sure as heck ain’t taking it traveling). Ready to roll.

Another event to look forward to this next weekend, in town thankfully…the missus’ bosses are having their delayed wedding party. Super chill but super posh, with the decision to rent a sizable yacht to cruise the channel and celebrate. Sounds like it’s gonna be fun!
