Shave #29 (500 Open Blade Shaves) of 2022:

Gear: RR GC .68 SB, Astra SS blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, Moon Soaps Amaretto soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, LNHC Barber Shoppe post shave elixir, and Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Cologne to finish!

Typical Saturday in progress! A tab bit of a sleep in but still up somewhat early to go do a work out with the missus. Breakfast after with lattes and a shared sticky bun and fresh everything bagel. Then back home to get the chores going.

Shook things up today for the shave, after a nice, cleansing shower. Grabbed the fresh/almondy scented things I could find and went to town. 3 excellent passes with the GC .68 over the artisan tallow lather of Moon Amaretto. Some extra generous spritzes of L’Homme Ideal. Perfecto!

Just a couple loads of laundry left to do now. A gorgeous day. A chill day.

Up at a decent but not too early hour to get ready for church!

Another non-3017 day for shaving. Todays focus was me knowing that I wanted to get back around to using Sauvage Elixir. Such a great, powerful scent! It’s one you can’t help but keep trying to get whiffs of all day long!

The elixer sounds great! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday - and Go Rams or San Fran - not sure which Cali team you root for - if any - but if you do =- go your team lol!

Did not sleep well last night…and ugh…now it’s Monday?!

Great shave this morning to help get me movin. Back to the dual 3017, so nothing real different to report. Something I did so was use up the last of my PR Phantom samples…finally! Never again. I’ll just give ‘em away next time lol.

Busy week ahead between work, home stuff, and all the rest of whatever…and I’ve been asked to preach this Sunday as my pastor goes to participate in her mother’s memorial service. Some of the folks from church, including the missus, will be flying up to attend in support. Wish I could go too, but can’t take the whole family and the kids can’t be left for a weekend.

Oh man, that means the kids in the front pew squirming around while you're preaching?

Apparently, when I was very young, I sent a paper airplane up to the front of the church during the sermon. I assume folks were thankful for the entertainment.

We meet in a park at the moment, with lawn chairs for our seats! We’re used to squirming and distractions 😂
