Shave #17 (500 Open Blade Shaves) of 2022:

Gear: Colonial “Armored” Brass General, Feather Pro blade, Spartan Burl brush, CBL Sir Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Skin Bracer AS, and TF Ombré Leather to finish!

Feeling much better today for the most part. Got some extra rest. Just dealing with some coughing and sinus junk still, so staying home one extra day. No real plans…kids are home too for the holiday.

Fantastic shave this morning. Decided to go for gold and topped off with the delightfully bad-arse Ombré Leather!

Decent night’s rest…sure was surprised at that alarm clock though 😂

Great shave this morning. Simple, quick, and easy three pass that just seemed to fire on all cylinders. Excellence!

Let’s see if I can get back into the work groove!

Shave #19 (500 Open Blade Shaves) of 2022:

Gear: Colonial “Armored” Brass General, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, CBL Barba AST, and Zarahoff PH/JPG Le Male to finish!

Ended up being a fairly decent day at work yesterday. Nothing really major going on. A lot of my current patients are on an “as needed” plan for my services by their choice, so while I have a lot of patents right now, I actually don’t have a lot of visits to perform.

Great shave this morning, enveloping myself in some good modern barbershop scents. Used up the last of my Zarahoff PH sample, had to supplement with a couple spritzes of JPG Le Male…they actually go together decently.

Happy Wednesday all! Just about half way through the work week!

Yea JPG LM is an interesting bird. I feel like it’s nice, but I’m on the fence about if it’s good enough for a bottle.

I did score a major eye roll last night when the missus noticed a payment out for a blind buy of a big bottle of Moustache EDP though…she may be on the verge of killing me. The deal was too good to pas up though 😂

Gear: Colonial “Armored” Brass General, Feather Pro blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, CBL Sir Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Sir Irisch Moos, and RL Ralph’s Club to finish!

The week is moving right along! A bit groggy…had an OT workout yesterday evening and stayed up a bit too late.

Great shave this morning. You know the setup already. Just switched up the frag today. Made one last go of my Ralph Lauren’s Ralph’s Club sample. Thoughts? A pretty decent fresh, woodsy scent. Not mind blowing, not bargain bin Marshall’s, but solid entry level designer frag that could be someone’s every day go-to.

Felt similar with my sample - can see a lot of people liking it and liked the blend of wood and blue fresh but wasn't blown away and definitely wouldn't pick up at retail prices, probably would still pass at grey market prices.
