Glad you're all having fun! Color me jealous!! LOL!

Try some of the Kona coffee while you're there. Good stuff!
Sounds like an amazing holiday Chris, and congrats on the anniversary!
Happy Anniversary Chris! Can't remember if that's what prompted the trip to Hawaii or not but a great way to celebrate regardless!
Sounds like a great time! And Happy Anniversary!
Thanks friends! The trip just happened to coincide with our anniversary…happy coincidence!

Hoooooo…long, active day yesterday! A good one though. We spent about 4-5 hours at Volcano (National Park), hiked about 7 miles along part of the rim trail, down into Kilauea Iki and back. Gorgeous sights and amazing things one can’t see anywhere else…well worth the effort. Good thing we started early in the morning though, don’t think I could have made it if we’d started later. The sun can be relentless when it’s out, even if it’s only 70-80 something. Thankfully we had some good, consistent breezes to spur us on. Went to an amazing Thai restaurant (Thai Thai) near Volcano that served some of the best Thai curry I’ve ever had and a scrumptious mango and green tea sticky rice pudding.

Hope you’re all having a great Wednesday!

When we were on Maui last February, we went to Haleakala for sunrise and to check it off our National Parks map. We've now been to Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and Lanai so will need to hit the Big Island and Molokai on our next trip - even more important will be visiting Volcanos to check that off our map too! The hikes look incredible.

If you don’t mind something a decent bit physically demanding, absolutely!

Quite the checklist! I’m hopeful to be able to visit even half of those 😂👍

To be fair, we visited Oahu Kauai and Lanai all during our honeymoon so it will be decades before we spend that kind of money on a trip again! 💸

Great day yesterday wandering around the waterfront shops of Hilo and taking an adult beverage break in Cronies. First time having a gin & juice…not bad, but I don’t know if it was made right because the guy serving was not the actual bartender lol. Picked up some cool local brand shirts for us and the kids. Nice chill day.

Sad that we have to leave in a couple days time! ☹️

Have a great Thursday all!

Yesterday was mostly a chill day. Just had the half-day hike to the secret spots and then some time back at Black Sand. Hung out at the house and had some more visitors in the late evening.

Last full day in Hawaii today. Have to hope on a plane in the morning to start our journey back. Dang it! 😂

Have a great Friday all!
