Shave #215 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Feather blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, Clown Puke tub soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Fine AB AS, and Fine AB EDT to finish!

Much refreshed after a shower n shave. The last leg of the journey was not kind to me in terms of nausea and severely aching muscles (thankfully no more than that). 12 hours of travel allowed us to arrive on nearly the southern most tip of Hawaii and consequently the southern most tip of the US territory.

Here it is the evening of arrival:

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Great day yesterday visiting the Black Sand Beach (and seeing the honu) thats only about 20 minutes from where we’re staying. The bulk of the day was spent hosting a hula kumu and some of her entourage for a BBQ and hang out (they had performed in Merrie Monarch this year; perks of a FIL who’s a master artisan I guess!). Then later we went back to the Black Sand Beach and watched the sun set and the stars come out. Then back to the house for more star watching. I don’t think I’ve seen (or payed attention to) so many stars in a long time. The sky was full, no moon, it was twinkling and shimmering, shooting stars on and off, and we could even see the brush strokes of the Milky Way. Magnificent!

Hope you’re all having a good Monday!

We were there in 2000 and again in 2004 and have been chomping to go back, to renew our vows, and to see the Black Beach, Coral Beach and Green sand Beaches again, in fact Sharon has been perusing property there. We love the laid back feeling there more than any other of the islands

It’s be great huh? Right now about all I could afford is a decently sized cardboard box on the beach 😂
Actually you would be surprised The Hilo area and Capt. Cooke are really not too bad and in VZ-3 so you can actually get a mortgage. But up near Wiamea and anywhere North is a bit steep LOL

Great day yesterday going into Kona area for parasailing (great fun!) and walking around some of the shops. I picked up a Tibetan Singing Bowl (probably a newly manufactured one for tourists, but who cares lol). Then we went to see the FIL’s cape display at the 4 Seasons. Then back to the house just after sundown. A great day and greater anniversary day (18 years married to the missus, over 22 years together).

Have a great Tuesday all!

Glad you're all having fun! Color me jealous!! LOL!

Try some of the Kona coffee while you're there. Good stuff!
