Thanks Don!Good reads. I really like that proraso red a/s. Never tried the cream. I like their single blade series.
Great news! Git er dun!All caught up Chris, nice shaves!
Glad you were able to get your second shot. I still have to put myself on the list to get my first. I just found out about 2 weeks ago that I qualify as an essential worker under transportation/logistics since we tow cars into our locations.
He is risen indeed!Shave #94 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:
Gear: Schick M Adjustable, Schick Twin blade, RR r400 brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and GFT Sandalwood cologne to finish!
Going to be a busy first half of the day, scampering around and getting stuff ready for services!
Nice shave to help wake me up though. Back to the faux Proraso Red 3017. Finished up my GFT Sandalwood sample today. Not bad overall...still more something sweet than woody to me.
Sat here having my coffee n traditional hot cross bun before heading in to work.
Happy Easter all. He is risen!
I’ve seen similar! He is risen indeed!
I saw a message on a church billboard yesterday. It said “Spoiler Alert: The tomb is empty.”
Thanks Mark! You too!Deadpool FTW!
Have a great day brother!!
You know...the whole faux 3017 thing and allPretty good will work ... I guess.
I've been using my Tech a lot more lately too. Such an easy shaver, I'm going to put the Rocket HD over it, because it feels just as smooth, but gets my neck better.Shave #97 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:
Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Bic Chrome Platinum blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and Zaharoff Pour Homme to finish!
Tired but up and moving.
Great shave today. The Tech is such a perfect shaver...sometimes I think to myself, why did I ever even bother to buy anything else?
Two more shifts to get through. Gotta wrap up my study this afternoon, after work, so it’s ready for tomorrow.
Have great Wednesday all!

The old Gillettes are most of my shaves, I keep thinking of getting a modern razor, but there are so many to choose from and for that money I want to be sure it's a love.
Yea the Gillette vintages are just hard to pass up. They’ve got the great shaves and they’re dirt cheap for the most part. Moderns on the other hand...can be quite the gamble.I've been using my Tech a lot more lately too. The Hawk (granted, it was a v1) just doesn’t hold a candle to the Vector for me. For AC SEs you could probably take your pick from the Vector, General, or Occam and not go wrong whatever you chose.I fall into that camp as well - I'd say somewhere between 60-75% of my shaves are with a vintage Gillette. I really want to try a Vector but the price point is steep to not but sure if I'll love it. Might have to grab a cheap RR Hawk or something first.
