I did a google of local Paqui chip bag vendors. We supposedly have some in town. I’m going to try and see if I can start off with one of those ghost pepper bags, see how that goes.

Shave #155 (413 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: RR GC .68 SB, Sputnik blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, and English Leather to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 80:

Busy morning. The shepherd, with the many skin allergies, had a checkup appointment today. She’s 1000% better than a month ago, but still has some issues that aren’t quite cleared up. So...that’s another $250 thrown at the pet situation this year...sigh.

Shave was around noon, but worth the wait. Went with the Stirling theme. Hadn’t used Agar in a while, which is a scent I like a actually, though it’s not a true oud scent to me, it’s missing the underlying richness/depth, but is still nice.

Zoom meetings this evening. This will actually be the last Jr High meeting the oldest has, this Sunday he begins attending the High School group. I feel old now. Craziness.

Hope you’re all having a great Wednesday!

Corona Virus Official Day 81:

Last hot day for the week...supposedly back to the low 80s tomorrow.

Could not wait this morning to get my new-to-me Paladin in for a shave...so once everyone was settled for school work...I did! The first outing was very positive; the density and softness of the knot compared to the one in my TSC 1st Anniversary badger (not a knock on Eric at all) was immediately noticeable from the start of the lathering process. The Paladin picked up lather much more easily and felt much nicer on the skin, close to pillowy in fact. Even a gentle mash of the brush while building lather felt different; the 1st Anniversary is no where near as densely packed, so when I do a gentle mash, I’m getting more of the sides of the hair in the knot than any tips, but the Paladin is packed enough (or maybe it’s simply the hair quality) that I felt like I was still getting more soft tips. Not a single hair shed the whole shave. Like I said, very positive first go, really looking forward to more use of this!

Everything is in kind of a holding pattern now. The kids are all working on their “final projects” and assignments; their school finishes next week (not even a full week). Before that though, this weekend we’ve planned our first real drive and visit of family. The missus is helping one of her sisters with wedding dress/bridesmaid dress selection on Saturday, so we’re taking everyone along and making a day of it. Granted we do have to be home before the curfew hits, but it should be fun.

Have a great Thursday all!
