Shave #126 (409 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, CBL Money tonsorial soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Pinaud Citrus Musk, and PR 1 Million to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 51:

Busy morning between multiple school/work Zoom calls and tracking regular school assignments for the kids.

Found some time to shower n shave. Opted to do my “fresh” setup with Money, Citrus Musk, and PR 1 Million.

Got the unexpected call this morning from the LGS that I was OK to pick up my HK finally. I was going to call them today anyway, but it was nice that they’re on top of things and called first (probably just to move it out of the store, but that’s neither here nor there). Right now I feel that the service was good enough to warrant future purchases from that shop should the opportunity arise. The fact that they were willing to deal with a first time buyer alone, when almost no one else will in these times, was awesome in itself. The clerk made sure I knew the basics of the gun and how to safely check it before I left. Now to find an open range and send some brass flying!

Rest of the day is up in the air. Kinda feeling like my time has been less than productive this week so far, since it’s been spent mostly getting the kids going in the mornings and answering their questions, instead of on my projects...but I’m realizing I have to get over that mental block a little bit.

Have a great Tuesday all!

Awesome news about the gun!
Thanks Pat!

Still a bit jittery about it. Almost didn’t want to even lock it up with a loaded mag (not inserted though) when putting it away for the first time. That was silly though, it’s one of the reasons I bought it. Just the way my mind works some times. The sooner I can get out, handle it live, and build some familiarity, the better.

I completely understand. For the longest time I never had my pistol loaded and then my oldest brother told me I had the world's most expensive paper weight. I thought about it and it made sense. Now I have it loaded and ready to go but in a safe inside my nightstand. Just give yourself some time and the familiarity will come!

Shave #127 (409 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, LNHC Coconut Oud soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, and Guess Men Original to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 52:

Yet another busy morning, but not so busy that the missus and I couldn’t make some time for a date breakfast. I went to a curbside pick up of a ginormous breakfast burrito and a cinnamon roll, then brought it back.

Did get to a shave around noon. Wanted to give a full test of the Guess Men Original as my main scent for the day. Shave was good, though the lather was a little light. Gave a full spritz for the wrists to share, once front of the neck/chest, and once back of the neck. I had a hard time smelling it for about 20 minutes, but the missus said it was profuse and filling the room. I can smell it now. Missus says it’s nice, maybe not one of my best, but not bad! Much better reaction than the first sample use when received.

I think I’m going to bring out the injectors next, after a couple more Vector shaves.

Have a great Wednesday all!

Shave #128 (409 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ brown synth brush, CBL Grassroots Lavender soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Skin Bracer AS, and Tangerine/Lavender/Roman Chamomile EOs to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 53:

Yep. More of the same goin on.

Nice shower n shave today. All the scents were pretty light, as I wanted to let the lavender shine for at least a little while. I may throw on an additional scent in a little while.

Can’t believe it’s Thursday already...ugh. I feel again like this week was just totally shot in terms of productivity. A new normal is going to be hard to find for a while.

The missus had a nice week off from classes, but starts back up again tonight.

Have a great Thursday all!
