If you have to do something...

Way to go on your 100th shave, Chris! the BBS's will get better and last longer as you progress! It's kind of like getting your black belt in a martial art. Most people who are very high up always tell me, "When you get your black belt, that's when you'll really start learning."

Well getting caught up and it includes a #100!!! CONGRATS.

Thanks Chad!

Thank you sensei Josh! ?

Post shave #100; day off of from the Feather and face reset shave.

Sundays are usually my dedicated sandalwood shaves, normally AOS, but I have to work a short shift today and didn’t want to bust out anything too nice.

So today I opted for Proraso Red soft soap and matching AS splash. I also wanted to use my Fatboy one last time before I clean it up and put it away for a while. I also gave the Rapira another go.

In all a really smooth, almost mindless BBS. The Rapira was significantly less harsh this shave, though still a little over-sharp on the ATG in my care areas.

In other things...really sucks to work on a Sunday, even if it’s only 4 hours. It’s for a good reason though. Our church’s Music Director of many, many years is retiring this month and today is her finale concert and celebration. She has been a solid contributor to the church in worship and service, it’ll be quite difftwith her sitting in the pews instead!

Happy Sunday all!

I've got a sample of the Proraso Red aftershave splash en route - been curious about it.

And I'm sure the retirement of your music director of all those years will be an adjustment.

Catching up from being way behind Chris!

Great reads and shaves.

Sorry I didn’t respond sooner. I spent almost 12 hours at church yesterday (in general, not necessarily working) and I was beat.

Good Stuff Chris
Just got caught up. 100th shave sounds like it was awesome.

Thanks guys!

Proraso Red AS is a great fresh scent with a decent moisturizerizing effect. I love it.

And yes, the change of music director will be quite an adjustment. The leadership is still interviewing for the position, they are taking this replacement very seriously. The concert though was wonderful as was the following celebration.

It sucks working on Sundays, but at least it was a nice shave.

Yes my friends, I have unlocked the secrets of the universe. The world is my oyster. Papas got a brand new bag.
Well, if nobody else is going to ask, I will. What kinda new bag did you get? LOLOLOLOL!!!

Congrats man, that sounded like a righteous shave.

Shave #101:

Back to normal shave business today, though the detour was fantastic!

TOBS Sandalwood, Feather SS with Pro blades, RR Big Bruce, and homemade Brut AS splash to finish.

I wasn’t worried about replicating the awesomeness of my 100th, but I did do good today BBS on the cheeks and jaw, DFS elsewhere.

It was a nice relaxer after doing yard work this morning before the CA heat sets in; supposed to be dry and mid 90s.

I also took a page out of Craig’s book and put the music on shuffle during the shave. I got an eclectic mix of heavy metal, slide guitar, and old timey Southern Jazz. SWMBO happened to walk in from her morning about town toward the end and exclaimed “Is this what happens every time I’m gone in the mornings? Screamo music and blades?” We had a good laugh. ?

Nice shave.

I prefer peace and quiet in the mornings when I am shaving. It is a quiet zen moment for me.

Thats usually what I get, just me and the sound of water, soap, razor, and stubble. The switch up wasn’t so bad today.

Nice one Chris...I will usually put some sort of soft listening music on. Soft or classic rock like Steely Dan or The Shins is usually the order of the day
