Hey if it helps I would normally only work Mon-Thurs this week (12s) but this week i am also working friday!
 
I remember my 70-80 hour weeks up north. Boss said I cried all the way to the bank when I complained. I told him they don't make coffins with pockets. ?

Lol I guess as long as it doesn’t put you under the weather all week...lots of days and long hours all together tend to do that to me, then I’m like “what’s the point of the ‘extra’ days off if I’m sick?”

i hear that but those are just my normal days off in the rotation minus the extra day i'm working friday. We basically do 4 weeks worth of hrs in 3 weeks and get the 4th off. it is all kinda of weird but once you are used to it it's not horrible. Now if i had the chance to get a position that paid at least as much with normal hrs i would jump at it but for now it's doable.
 
Back when I was floor nursing doing 3 12hr days I kept thinking about those poor saps that have to work 5 days a week.

Ya, those would suck. I can only remember doing three in a row. But it's pretty cool to get 5-8 days off in a row without using any vacation time.
 
Shave #52 (Open Blade Shave #260) of 2019:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (21), RR Game Changer .68, Astra SP blade (22), RR Big Bruce synth, Cella soap, generic witch hazel, and Bootlegger’s Bay Rum AS to finish!

Made the conscious choice not to push things today and to try and limit strokes (or the habit of stroking over an area multiple times on a pass) a bit. Was definitely rewarded with zero irritation and still very acceptable (by my standards) results.

Today was a bay rum day, always highly enjoyable. I quickly forget how much of an alcohol punch Bootlegger’s BR has! Phew! Feels good though.

House to myself and the dogs this morning. Today should be a decently easy work shift. Tomorrow is my extra day off. Feeling good at the moment.

As part of my studying and brushing up on the Bible for tests, I’ve been listening to The Bible Project videos (on the Tube) on repeat. They do an excellent job coherently distilling what the main points and themes of each book is about.

Always nice to have an empty house every once in a while! I have to do the same thing with consciously thinking about not pushing things during a shave. It’s well worth it though. I’ve found that I’d rather be a little bit less close with no irritation, rather than go for the closest shave possible but look I took a cheese grater to my face.
 
When I worked in the mill we pulled 4 12s with 4 days off. The worse part was we switched days and nights. So 4 days of 7am to 7pm, 4 days off and then 4 days of 7pm to 7 am. Never did get use to swapping days and nights.

Oh that is rough. It takes me a while to adjust to new work schedules, that would just wreak havoc!

That's what we do but 4, 3, 3, 4 and varying numbers of days off.
 
Right at this moment, Mr Noir is wondering when everyone is going to leave the house so he can go back to bed.

Just a quick entry...I’m relaxin!

Great shave just now. Got woken up by the dogs trying to get out the back door to do their business, so I figured I’d just get a jump on the day.

Blades are plateaued right now, not good, not terrible. Looking like I’ll be able to finish the month!

Just hanging out now till the family gets home later. Ahhhhh.
