Sorry about the tire Ken, but nice shave! Another good looking razor! I'm itching to get another straight, but I am currently undecided. Wade and Butcher is on the short list though!

Okay on to tonight's shave. Pretty good shave. The 1508.5 continues. CBL Insurgent Tonsorial. Omega Boar brush. Burrell Top Flight No. 1 razor and Avon Black Suede AS. With Borotalco thrown on for good measure. Although I think I may have broken a rule or two in the process. The busy bodies on here will let me know if their will be any consequences for this.
The tire swap had some issues. For those who are interested their is a vid in the media section. That goes into greater details on all of the goings on round these here parts.
Hope you all had a good weekend and are prepared to usher out June and get July going. It's all down hill from here for 2020. Good Damn Riddance you miserable anomaly of a year.6892EDC8-11A3-4438-8211-438464A266EB.jpeg

Happy Monday folks. So far so good. Work was ok. With one hitch. My fancy RFID chip time card/door key has not worked since early last week. And the weeny punk ass wanker of a IT guy that is supposed to take care of such issues. Has been working from home because of Wuhan Virus. Today was the day that he was going to be at his office down town. So I make a special trip down there at high noon.
The building is closed to the public except for the foyer. Where they have to drop off all business into boxes to be collected and processed later. In the hallway leading to HR there is a 6 foot tall sign that says "Employee's Only Beyond This Point". So I stroll right passed it (cause I'm an employee) and start heading down the HR Dept. And Barney Fiffe the semi retired deputy they got working the desk. Says
"Whoa there! You just walked past a sign that says employees only beyond that point.
To which I retort, Let me guess your just waiting for the paperwork to catch up to you. About your promotion to "Detective" Mind you I am in my county uniform. In all of it's neon green glory.
Then I flash my malfunctioning county ID badge and breeze past him. Have a good day I say over my shoulder. But I can feel the daggers in my back from his feeble attempt of an icy stare.
Running the gauntlet of air tight security. Did not pay off, however. The IT weeny was unable to rectify the problem. And I was forced to re-schedule. Who would have thought that we wouldn't have top notch techno nerds.
But fear not. My return home after work, did have a positive happening. In the mailbox was my package from Whipped Dog. I ordered 3 sets of ready made scales. And my new to me G&F Adoration Deluxe razor that I got off the bay. For a great price because the scales were warped and cracked. Is now wearing shiny new red translucent scales. (See pics)
It honed up very easily and provided a top notch shave. M&M Tobac Finale provided the suds. And the Cashmere brush applied it with it's super soft goodness. Tabac AS and Borotalco Talc finished it off. Yes I managed to do it in the right order.
Hope you all had a good Monday.FEED4FC1-BCED-4CB4-9E96-7A448B45E3F1.jpeg09906D59-A1DF-434A-B292-76EA754552AF.jpegE10B95FE-E3B4-49FE-B93B-1AAE4A381062.jpeg

Nice work on the scales. I just did the same with one of my Wade and Butcher blades. It's been a learning experience for sure.

Today hit 90 here. And we had to trim a few hundred feet of road edge. Chainsaws, pole saws etc. Too damn hot for my taste. I had to put my $.02 into the equation. Suggesting that the trimmed brush. Would be better handled with our Gradeall with the claw on the end. So at least we saved ourselves from having to drag and chip it.
Tonight’s shave was good. My 14’s never disappoint. 1508.5 continues.
Cmon Wednesday one more day closer to fall.

My sentiments exactly! It was 93 here on Sunday (It's routinely in the 90s anyway). But the Heat Index was at 104. How does that happen? Oh yeah...when your humidity is 80% or above. We had 87% humidity to pair with the high temp!

I laughed at your story concerning the super sleuth! In my building we have security guards...but they don't do much. The pretty much just escort visitors up to different areas. But we do have actual law enforcement that sits at front desk...they are actually helpful.

Hope your Wednesday goes well!

Ok so Wednesday is in the history books. Day went ok. Can't complain. My buddy Henry made some new friends. (check out the picture thread) Tonight's shave I revisited my new to me G&F Adoration Deluxe razor. The soap is one of my best performing soaps. Especially in the cushion/protection area. Sudsey Soapery Cola With Rhasouli Clay. Old Spice finished off the shave nicely.
Hope all is going well for you guys. Thursday will be my Friday this week. But I am going to be celebrating the 4th. With my Kippah wearing friends down at the synagogue.6B210F0C-3BA1-4863-96F6-D5647187D7E9.jpeg

Nice shave Ken and beautiful razor!

nicely done, and heat indexes of 104 LMAO Hold our beer, I know, I know you have humidity, but today our rains started in earnest so 104 + 60% humidity YUCK!!!

Not going to even argue on that one with you Dave. 104 +60% humidity is a bummer.

Made it through my Thursday. Hope you all did as well. @BarberDave I was thinking about you. Hope you felt the positive vibes from Maryland.
Tonight's shave was inspired by @Patelliott . Because of his recent inquiry about Fili's. This is a earlier version of a Doble Temple. Always a joy to use.
The Myrsol AS is always nice. Nice relaxing Friday planned. We'll see how that goes.
Have a good one guys.BCABC06A-88C8-44E0-9A86-31056BEFA8E4.jpeg
