Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Today for the most part was good. Wife is doing fine. Had a nice dinner. The day took a negative turn when my dog Bandit. Started having extreme difficulty getting up onto his feet and moving about.
My wife has been a registered veterinary technician for 30 years. We have been treating him for Cushing’s disease for the last 3 years. It is something you manage. He is old 14+ years. We are probably going to go to the vets tomorrow. Hopefully we can come up with a reason/solution to this. And get him ambulatory again.
So tonight’s shave was a simple one pass affair. As my mind is now elsewhere.
Did use my Wilbert Army Special like I hinted at to @Majorrich

Hope this isn’t too much of a downer to you guys. This journal is about what’s going on with me. So thought I’d let you guys know.

Take it easy and I’ll update when I have something to add.

Sorry to hear about your pooch. Believe it or not, when I was in the service, I was an electric kind of guy. A couple times we went a few weeks without shaving, but I was an office pogue.

Glad to hear the wife is doing well my friend. Keep her well and happy and life is just that much better. But who am I telling...I am sure you know that already.

I had a dog that had Cushings. It's hard, but as you know it is manageable for a good bit. Think you will find around here that are fur babies are family and no one will ever complain about talking about your pets. Just cherish Bandit while he is around and make sure his life is the best that you can give. I have another dog that is about 12 years old. He still acts like a puppy and we love him dearly. But every now and then he has a hitch in his giddy'up and the wife goes into mamma mode. He is our child for the time being. But he is a very happy guy and we give him the best life we possibly can give. Hell...Chauncey eats better than I do!

Saying a prayer for your wife and for Bandit!

Morning guys. Quick update. This morning Bandit is getting around a little better. I am fairly confident that it's his left hind leg that is the one that is giving him discomfort.
Still probably going to go to the vets. Going to wait till the wife gets up and get her opinion. This is one area that she is supremely qualified to make the right call. I am thankful for that.
Appreciate all the well wishes they mean a lot.

Hey guys.
Today was a blur. Between building the ramp. Taking care of Melinda and Bandit. Going to the grocery store. Getting breakfast lunch and dinner made and cleaned up after. I need a calgon hot tub. With a couple Japanese girls to walk on my back. Now more than ever hope both the Doctors have positive news for us. God isn't supposed to give you more than you can handle. But he is giving me some kind of test here lately.
Bandit has used the ramp 4 times in a row successfully. So feeling better about the effort I put in for that. He still needs help to get up on all fours. But once up get's around ok. Still eating drinking and doing his business ok too. All of those things keep me and the wife hopeful. Will know more tomorrow.
Long hot shower is gonna feel good. No geisha girls waiting for me though. Then on to my shave. Gonna do a comfort shave.
Korrat 14

And Aqua Velva to finish.
These are my go to things I can count on.
