Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

+1 to chair or couch time for a few days until she can get some strength back. The last thing you need is to tweak anything before it heals enough. Praying for y’all for healing.

First of all thank you all for the well wishes.
The couch is not really an option. Unfortunately. We have the bed on an incline. Barrets syndrome. Also she absolutely has to have the ceiling fan. And more room than a couch provides.
Were it me or probably most of you guys and gal. It would not be as big of a deal.
She is very easily rattled. And things like this effect her much more than others. I wish I could donate her some of my strength or fortitude. But all I can do is to help her any way I can.
And be here for her.
Oh yea the bosans chair I made most likely would have worked but she was too upset to even let me show her how it worked. If I had someone healthy to sit in it. And demonstrate it.
But she has been able to crab walk up better since the first night.
So slow and steady wins the race.
Tonights shave was decent. Last night was rushed and I was toast.
Didn't take pic or video. Maybe tomorrow. We'll see how busy it is around here. Should settle down.
Going to go check out everyones posts and vids. Haven't had a lot of time to stalk you guys.
Fluffy out.

Hey Bruce this does not even compare to getting the call from your doctor with a cancer diagnosis. But that approach is about all any of us can do.
But yes I always focus on the things within my control. And the other things will run their course. I call it my "Army mindset". Even all these years later the things that I was taught and learned about myself. From serving. Have paid huge dividends. Problem solving skills and dealing with stress. Keeping focused on the mission and never quitting.
@Dave in KY
Yes things will get better. We are getting into a routine. Figuring out what's easier for her. Hopefully every day will see improvement.
Going to get out the hones and try and wrap up your razors buddy. Need some "me time". While she naps.

I learned similar lessons from the Navy, plus I am/was capable of doing ungodly numbers of situps and pushups when fearing for my life.

I have found that most of the time if someone "Gets" me and I them. Military service is the reason.

Case in point. I do armed security as a side job. One of our contracts is for a Synagogue near DC. Lots of members that attend served in the IDF.
There is a familiarity that exists. Which makes my time with them a very pleasant experience. One individual in particular. Is Claude. Although we are separated by 20+ years.
And I only met him a little over a year ago. He and I can talk about anything and everything. He is one of the most interesting people I have met In quite a few years.
He has some stories that are worthy of a book or movie. And most people haven't a clue.

I think it’s shared hardship and places and the training. I believe I pushed earth so mush the orbit was altered a little bit. I may have contributed to global warming by doing too many pushups.

I was Army 31 alpha, then got moved into an S-1 slot. I retired in 2003 (part of a rif) as an O-4 from 17 years. I had been diagnosed with cancer the previous spring and got declared un-deployable by President Hillary

Cool beans
I was 11HE9 TOW missile.
Only did 8 years. Wanted to stay in. But my knee made PT a very daunting thing. So I did not re-enlist. If I had I am not sure I would have been able to have kept passing my PT tests.

Me at 41 running the 1.5 under the old-guy standard. Still made time, much to the disgust of a couple sweaty Seasoned desk jocks

Well Cadre. Day 5 of Fluffy's home health care nurse impersonation.
My patient is still alive. So are the dog and cats. Things have settled into a type of routine. One fly/bug in the ointment is that somehow I managed to get a cold. So now I have the extra bit of fun.
Of having a germphobic wife. Wanting me to sterilize everything I touch.
I have enlisted the help of her 2 daughters in helping to lift her morale. They usually talk at least once a day. But I have asked them to up the frequency of texts and pics. As this is the best form of distraction for my wife.

Unless something changes it. My plan is to give Dave's fancy Boker the Shogun Treatment and Test Shave her tonight.
Been looking forward to doing that. The other nights skipped shave. Was the first in many a moon.

I watched a snail use my straight razor. Instead of me. The Horror-The Horror.
Either a pic or vid to follow.
Hope all of you are having a good Sat.
