Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Productive day today. The fuel tank retrofit is completed. Had to harness all of my jerry rigging skill. Who knew that a McCulloch 80A fuel tank would work on a Stihl. All you need to do is cut some plates from a no parking sign. Make a rubber pad out of a old mud flap. And cut up an old serpentine belt from a Tundra, super simple. Now my 37 year old Stihl FS65 trimmer is ready cut grass like a straight razor with a shogun edge. It's nice to have a piece of quality equipment back in the game. Instead of the ones that are being cranked out now. What I call craplastic disposable malibu barbie toy power tools. If I come up with some appropriate sized copper might try and make a cooler metal tank. Tonight's shave.

Nice job getting the Stihl running again. That should be good for another 30 years before it needs another reworking.
Fingers crossed Eric. It should be GTG. Now I am on the hunt for raw materials to fabricate a "Fluffy Industries" tank for it. Wish copper sheeting wasn't so expensive.
But if I'm completely honest. The current donor tank will probably be riding around on it for a while.

Nice mid week shave tonight. The Gold Rex was my first NOS razor purchase. Also my first Japanese razor.
Lisa's soap is always enjoyable to use. And the SHD Gealousy knot that I put in the Razorock 400 handle is also enjoyable to use.
The Master Barber aftershave. Being inexpensive and 15oz's is nice to use a few glugs with zero worries.
