Everyone Loves Sumo!!!

This has the potential to be a great basho! Wakatakage back Sanyaku! And the potential to end the basho with 3 Yokozuna going to March.

Apparently a play about the world of a Sumo Stable is opening on off broadway here in New York.

Bring your significant other out for a cultured night at the theater (and maybe get them hooked

Thank's as always t NHK for spoiling the winner, but still it was a great basho. I'm not H's biggest fan, but happy for him, he really turned it on when it was time to.

Kinbosan did amazing job as well, never had him to win, but that was a great performance.

Same... My initial reaction was "he's not ready" but after I realized he hasn't had a losing record since Sept 2021, and coupled with the last 2 bashos I think it was warranted. BUT the main reason it happened is they didn't want to be with out a yokozuna :ROFLMAO:

Oh I didn’t realize he’d gone that long without a loosing record. That’s nothing to sneeze at in Sumo. For sure they just needed to fill the empty slot. Still glad Teru finally retired just for the sake of his health.
Now it’s just I hope he doesn’t crumble next basho. It seems like anyone who wins has a horrible basho or two after lately.
Kirishima and Kotozakura in particular.
