ETHOS Grooming Essentials

Another great scent and performer. Melange dā€™agrumes is a wonderful concoction of citrus notes that is not explosive or in your face. Rather, it has a moderate & juicy like aroma with slight woods & tartness that is magically smooth during the whole shave from lather building to rinsing off on oneā€™s final shave pass. Almost like taking a bowl of freshly cut fruits that have a bit of lemon/lime & grapefruit juices thrown in and just taking a big heaping deep breath to take it all in. Aaaahh! Gorgeous is an understatement. Performance? Hehehe...... superb. I expected nothing less....

Finally got to run the Dragonsbeard V2 shave set. Hands down, one of the best menā€™s grooming set ups in the game, period. The scent is uber masculine with class and sophistication that yet holds an underlying softness and richness, especially on the drydown. I get almost a slightly dark oriental & fougere type vibe with a soft cacao/coffe mix that is almost gourmand but, not quite there with a tinge of sweetness. Gorgeous scent for the cool and colder days ahead. The soap & skin splash performance wise are exceptional. Post shave is up there with the best and probably is at the top of the heap in my collection along with the rest of my Ethos soaps & splashes. Phenomenally good is all that I can say. Worth every penny......

The DFS/Ethos Colonia soap & splash are a home run in my opinion. Removing the lid and bringing the jar to ones nose youā€™re hit with a robust and natural smelling Neroli that intermingles with a nice citrus and smooth woods like accord. Reminds me a bit of if one were to smell both ADP Colonia & Intensa at the same time with the burst of TF Neroli Portofino on the top. Not exactly but, within that realm. Not as juicy as TFNP nor tart and punchy as Intensa but, it does have that nice clean citrus smoothness of Colonia. It has facets of the 3 mentioned (to my nose at least) yet still holds a different vibe where it does not have a pronounced flowery aspect of neither of them. Neroli, citrus (Bergamot,Lime) and woods with almost a very subtle leafy green aspect. The key to me though is that it smells natural & deep both the soap and especially the skin food splash. Itā€™s a gorgeous scent that is well rounded and composed very well. Frankie @Dragonsbeard knows his scents and he nailed the traditional Italian spring, summer or all year round really, wonderful masculine clean scent. The only negative to this creation is not having either a Cologne, EDT or EDP to seal the deal. This set needs one, itā€™s that good.

Performance is as expected, elite plain and simple. Period......

Had the Clean soap up last night as it is nearly a scentless shave soap yet has all the other protective & post shave attributes that the scented ones have. For all the sensitive skin and nose types out there, this is as good as it gets, Gents. Just a clean and soapy scent but, thatā€™s just part of the deal as the real reason I used the Clean soap was to try one of the skin food splash samples that Frank Dragonsbeard included in my most recent order, the Tobacco version. Man o man, this scent is like nothing else out there. Think the Dragonsbeard V2 scent but, darker and more robust with a tinge of a citrus accord that is truly decadent. I had to call him up and let him know that this is something that has to come to fruition like pronto. All I can say is yes, heā€™s working on it and it will be available soon. Gents, if your a fan of Tobacco scented shave software, this is one that you will not want to miss. I think Frank mentioned that itā€™s a Tobacco Absolute creation and I have not smelled anything remotely close to this stuff. Potent and wonderfully goodā€¦.

The sample you got is one of two aroma blends that will be going in the Humidor Collection and itā€™s called ā€œ Mandarino Fumo and it will come in the new F base only. I love tobacco aroma blends and this one is just about finished. A couple of tweets and it will be ready to hit the pavement. Oh and yes Tobacco Absolute and Red and Orange Mandarin are the stars of this blend but thereā€™s a lot more to it than just those that make up the blend. Iā€™m glad you like it! Itā€™s got sone serious longevity.
