Overview
SEptember is coming to an end, but a month of Injectors has been great.

Shave Quality
The PAL adjustable was a bit rough with the Proline blade, but gave a good BBS shave. The Supply 2.0 with the Proline gave excellent results, full BBS with little irritation.

Gear
Unfortunately the Strike Gold soap has lost some of its scent over the weeks. It is still great, but I have to wait for the splash at the end to really get a good nose full of that wonderful Old Hickory scent.

The PAL injector probably needs a different blade than the Proline. The Supply injector really likes it, however.

Also, if you like Injectors you should give the Supply a try. It is very mild even with the 3-dot plate, but I find it to be an efficient shaver.

Other Thoughts
Mondays! Am I right?

Nice shaves Doug! PAL was OK for me, as was the Supply. Not 100% comfortable but not bad. I definitely don’t regret giving up the Supply though for a Schick M Adj and NEW LC.

The Schick Adjustable is definitely the best of the three, but I put the Supply at a close second. The PAL is cool, but definitely the roughest of the three.

No Shave

09/25/2019
Pre
: Hot shower/splash of cool water/PAA Cube pre-shave soap w/menthol
Razor: Supply 2.0 Injector w/middle (i.e. 2 dot) plate
Blade: Schick Proline B20 (2)
Brush: RazoRock Big Bruce
Soap/Cream: Strike Gold Shave Old Hickory (92)

Overview
SEcond shaves can be better than first shaves.

The Proline blade was smoother for the second shave. This is not an uncommon thing. In the Supply with the middle plate it made for a really, really smooth and effortless shave, full-on BBS with very little irritation.

Gear
The Prolines work well in the Supply razor.

Other Thoughts
Getting over a cold with sore throat. Ugh.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

BBS can be rough sometimes.

The 3-dot plate for the Supply razor is not that aggressive, but with the Proline B20 it sure was. I got a BBS in two passes with a little more irritation that usual. If I was ultra careful with the angle it wasn't too bad, but getting it off even a little was rough.

Gear
It seems like the Supply razor has a sweet spot for the Proline B20 blades. That seems to be the middle, 2-dot, plate. I am formulating a working hypothesis for the Proline blades. They suffer from the Feather problem, which is that they are really, really sharp blades that need a mild to very mild razor to give good results. Putting them in an aggressive razor is a recipe for razor burn and nicks.

Other Thoughts
Feeling better today, but still have a lingering cough. Sucks.

Glad you're feeling better. But what about the soap? You have to be down to a thin ring at this point.

I need to remember to take a pic of it. The crescent shaped bit that remains is more than enough to get me to 100 shaves. This soap is lasting much longer than I thought it would.

Overview
It was not so much of a Treet today.

Shave Quality
The shave was BBS but the blade tugged a bit. It was still a good shave.

Gear
I usually have better luck with the Treet black blades. The Rocnel SE-P is not a good razor for them.

Other Thoughts
It was a good Saturday.

I had an awful experience with those blades. The tugging wasn't as bad as a Tiger blade, but it wasn't too far off. My incredibly unscientific conclusion is that carbon steel blades are garbage.

I usually get much better results with them. Carbon steel can be quite good. Most straights are carbon steel.

The MMCP came through for me today, except for the nick on my chin that reopened. I will call it BBS-.

Gear
The MMCP can be a finicky razor. Today it worked for me. Remember, no pressure.

Other Thoughts
I am building up my Bourbon collection. Tonight I picked up a bottle of the Old Forrester 86 proof and the John E. Fitzgerald Larceny. I opened the Larceny tonight. It is very good stuff. Vanilla, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Yum.
