@GearNoir yeah, I miss the easy access to 90% isopropyl and even witch hazel (where has THAT gone?). I have had pretty easy access to 70% but with some looking and patience I’ve found the 90%. I use it to clean/rinse my razors and as part of my cPap cleaning wipe down. 70% works (technically it’s better) but since I mix a solution and rinse my razor DRY it, I want 90%. My solution was to buy a bunch of lab-grade 200 proof ethanol, I can make sanitizer with it if/when I want (my dad’s entire community of 80 yr olds wanted some so I made them all enough to last their life time) and I can dilute it any way I want for other stuff. It was expensive but, as they say about Martin d candre, on a per use basis it’s dirt cheap....mostly because I have it.

I went hiking today...let me rephrase that, my WIFE made me go hiking today and somewhere between “I think my heart is going to explode”, “yup...I am definitely having a heart attack” and “well, I could already be dead” (it was a hike at great elevation and of substantial distance) I came to a realization of great importance and broad application to all things COVID19, at least the divisive topics...

Those that matter don’t care...and those that care don’t matter.

I know, not exactly original but most epiphanies originating from altitude induced hypoxia and narrowly avoiding cardiac arrest (or explosion) aren’t terribly original. Still, I think my epiphany is meaningful in SO many ways and contexts. As I sit here with more oxygen available to my brain and my heart soothed by an appropriate amount of adult beverages...I realize my epiphany (unoriginal as it is) its brilliant because it applies to pretty much any situation you find yourself in. Well, clearly it doesn’t apply to those situations where you find yourself ill or in trouble, like when my heart was about to explode...it only LOOKED like those that mattered didn’t care, obviously they did.

Yesterday, for the very first time since the pandemic started, I found a supply of isopropyl alcohol at the grocer! I was hoping to try 90% but there was only the same 70% I normally get, but I’ll take it!

Dude calm down... 70 90 geez both will kill ya. It's not worth trying to save money just drink vodka, whiskeys or tequila.

Oh! Wrong thread carry on!

Got some of those neck cooling things that can double as a mask and you can put a filter in. Either my head is overly large or these are sized for kids.

You're lucky with it being 74 inside...our unit outside that handles our upstairs air broke on Friday so we weren't able to get it fixed until Monday so the top half of our house was upper 90's all weekend.. Fortunately the downstairs unit still worked so stayed down there all weekend... .....main bedrooms are upstairs... It was miserable here...

So last year we upgraded our central air unit. The old one wasn't sized properly and was as old as the house. The old one ran all day! And could only keep house to about 80 and 76 at night. It was HORRIBLE! We upgraded to a larger unit and higher efficiency. Our electric bill plummeted and our house is significantly cooler!
