Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

I find no evidence whatsoever to support this claim.
Oh, ye of little faith. While it’s true that ChatBVD (or whatever) won’t bring this up, let’s use our brains and consider the facts:

*Mr Vargo is an adult male, therefore, a Man
*Mr Vargo is co-owner of the internationally renowned business, The Shaving Cadre.
*As both a man and business co-owner, Mr Vargo is a Businessman, therefore, a Professional.

Any questions?

Well it's time for an update been a minute.

My shaves are going well still using the CBL soap we got to scent ourselves while at the last convention. I maybe have 2-3 shaves left on this soap and then will move on to my next victim. I have been using harder soaps or larger volume soaps this 2025 year hence why there hasn't been as many empty containers this year compared the last few years as seen in my signature.

After coming back from our trip to Yellowstone with my parents, Dave, and Sharon. We were sold on the idea of having a Starlink subscription that we can pause when not in use to guarantee that we have signal while in the mountains, the extra ability to communicate with the world on our terms is a peace of mind especially after while in Yellowstone on our last day we got the dreaded call from our house sitter that our cat had passed away. We have taken a few trips since our Yellowstone trip and are trying to plan at least one more before the beginning of Football Season and school back in session.

Yes I said football! I will be entering my 10th season as an official this year and today I will be working the local HS annual Purple vs White game. The season is here and I am ready for it!

As to the gym routine I have noticed a lot of changes. Can touch my toes easily, muscle definition is showing, and down inches. The only thing that is lacking is the actual lbs # is not going down as quickly as i'd like. But the fact that when I started back to the gym I was wearing 38 size pants and can now get back into my 34 size pants. It's a great feeling. Just hoping to continue toning and then let the lbs follow suit.

Now the job front. As many of you know earlier this year I was laid off and have been reeling with the job search for 4 months. Couple that with the fact that I knew my job was on the line and I have had an end date with old employer for 2 years. This job search has been ridiculously difficult. I have been stressed, depressed, and just all around not feeling great about myself these last two years. If you see that is all in the past tense. I am happy to report that at the end of July I entered a contract for new employment contingent upon this very extensive background check that includes some clearance due to what I'll be doing. Don't really want to go into too many details yet, but let's just say that I expect everything to come to fruition and I will be starting this new job on 9/2. As soon as I get the all clear with the background etc I will go into more details at that time.

The Knights of Columbus is still a very big part of my life and extremely important to me. I am currently serving this fiscal year as the State Treasurer and enjoying serving the community.

The family is doing great. Megan is back to work this week to get her classroom ready for next week as the first day of school is 8/11. My oldest is entering middle school which just seems unreal to me but I am very proud of the man he is becoming. My middle daughter will be entering 3rd grade and watching her grow as she continues to focus on gymnastics and dance is just amazing to watch all her hard work pay off. My 2 year old is the boss of the house and keeps us all on our toes, and takes the terrible 2s to the extreme at times, but she is also the sweetest thing out there and completely a daddy's girl.

Anyways that's the update for now! Hope all are well.

A slimed down, smiling Chad is a thing of beauty. Congrats on the job. Sounds like you didn't tell them about us....or the many questionably immoral things we get up to around here. Oh well, if they don't dig deep enough....that's on them.

He DID tell them about us...that's why the extended background check and so far unexplained delay. Seems they have some questions about a guy called "Stefan" .

Well my friends background check and drug test cleared. Got the phone call yesterday from HR after roughly 2.5 weeks of investigation. I am happy to share that starting on 9/2 I will begin employment with Fidelity Investments. Back into management over the 401k portfolio. I'm excited to learn a new banking product and to be back in people management vs individual contributor role like I was in previously. I am most excited to not feel stagnant like I did the last 2.5 years.

Onto bigger and better things.

Great news, Chad. With this, and football starting up, life is good. 👍
