Razor: Muhle R41
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Soap/cream: Tabac
Brush: Razorock Barrel Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Tabac
Okay well here we are another Tabac shave, I LOADED like crazy. I was determined to get back to a great shave with this soap. And guys I can't believe I am saying this but I think Tabac has been hyped in the Ute den for too long. Now that I have been using extremely good soaps like Dec. Grooming, CBL, and LNHC all three of those hit the high notes, some higher in certain areas. I think Tabac is just a middle of the road soap. Perhaps I am finally at the point where the Artisan soap has completely surpassed the mass produced soaps. Regardless though I still enjoy the scent of Tabac. Part of me still wonders if it is because I just don't have enough soap to load off of, but I don't think that is the case. It is the slickness where this soap is lacking. Post shave too especially compared to some artisan soaps.

Well have a double header today, going to be a long cold night! With temp at kickoff around 40 degrees, and by the end of the second game temps should be around 31 degrees. One neat thing though. My game tomorrow was voted game of the week by some local reporters they are expecting a close contest! I am looking forward to it!

Tabac, for me, represents the pinnacle of what classic drug store-like soaps can do. You’re right though, it’s not in the same ballpark as elite or top tier items though.

Under armor heat gear coupled with a face ski mask, and gloves. I should be somewhat warm.

I am not sure why Tabac is causing me fits right now. I really think its because I don't have as much surface area to load off of. I am considering scooping it all out, pressing into my capt. choice bowl to increase surface area. Probably 5-6 shaves left on it.

Well today was a good shave with a good soap. The WTP series is actually pretty decent, and at the price they are selling this it is a STEAL! I had to use my Ute Brush since the game is today. Just fired on all cylinders. I am ready for the day!

Well yesterday's games went real well for the double header. We did have to eject a player for a gruesome targeting call that actually caused the offended player to be knocked out for a little bit. Was a very good game though aside from that one bit. It was freezing cold though. The wind chill is what got us though. With wind chill around 28 degrees. Tonight I am doing the 3A South Regional Championship game. The winner of this game is the region champ, guarantees a home game for the playoffs first round, and only 10 miles separate these schools. This should be a fun game. AND it is televised. THe Utes also play tonight. I will most likely miss the first half but will have it recording so I will be able to play catch up at least. The Utes control their own destiny, winning the south is still possible. The team is rejuvenated after the commanding win against Stanford. I hope they can finally live up to their expectations.

Eye rolls are always expected. My wife always gives me a hard time. "Why are you watching the game you just officiated?" I am hoping it is a good game. It has the potential to be very good.
