Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

That's some funny stuff right there. It's nice to have some satisfaction like that.
Gotta love it when you make the impertinent fools eat their words like that. I'm sure you're looking forward to seeing him again tomorrow night.

Thanks KJ and Josh for reading. You know what's actually interesting. Is that coach's team won the game. 20-19, we almost had overtime but an extra point was blocked. But anyways at least for me as an official I can honestly say I DO NOT care who wins. It literally means nothing to me. And I think this is true for about 95% of officials. But like any profession there is always a minority that gives the whole group a bad name. So I can honestly say that when I take the field Friday, I'll shake hands with the coach, and not have mention of the Wednesday JV contest. Friday is a new day, and for the 22 players on the field each play it is the most important moment in the world to them at that moment. It is my job to ensure the that play is safe and by the rules. The kids deserve it, because for most of them they will not play beyond this level and they deserve to have a well officiated game regardless of what outsiders want to believe about officials I can honestly say this is the train of thought for most of us.

I know Chad will be fair and impartial, applying nothing but objectivity to his craft. I also know that there will likely be no benefits of the doubt.

Classy Chad. But tell me. IF you do end up calling a foul on the coach on Sat, you might accidentally hit him in the back of his head with your flag?

Great read Chad! I’ve never reffed any sports before, but I’ve sat sideline for a number of games as a parent...Kudos to you! Non-professional sports can be worse than professional at times! People are crazy!

Usually when throwing a flag on a coach I like to throw it nonchalantly at their feet. I have hit players "accidentally" with flags before.

Well the problem is every parent thinks their kid is the next Tom Brady or Michael Jordan.

I guess that’s prefferable to Dennis Rodman...

I agree though...all those parents with unfulfilled dreams of being a sports star, living vicariously through their children.

They are called College Referees!

Really though Chad, I think this incident exemplifies how you and the other referees should and do act. Nice little way of getting a jab while staying professional. It's actually inspiring!

I disagree with throwing the flag at the coach's head ...throw it with more a of a flourish, with a little dance in your step. Think of your flag throw as its own little end zone celebration, maybe do the googly knees thing too. And be sure to yell "shazaam" or "booya". If its against the rules, who cares, you are new remember? I also recommend wearing a heavy splash of the Veg to the game, he should smell the attack coming.

Razor: Parker Variant set on 3

Soap/cream: CBL Soaps Ghost Lime
Brush: Envy Shave Ute Brush
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Pinaud Lime Sec

CBL IN DA HOUSE!!! Alright so today I was very excited to use CBL soap from a REAL tub! No small tubs, no transferring samples to tins... but a real soap tub. It just all felt real today! I did record the shave today if you want to see it action. This is his newest formula and I have used some of it. Like the TSC Exclusive, Tabacaveg, and Ghost Banana. All in all I am ready to offer up a final rating. All of his previous soaps that he sent me would come in at Tier 1 Box 4 and a couple with some additions like the Damascus entered Box 3. The changes he made have really increased slickness, post-shave, and residual. Today the shave was wonderful and the scent strength once lathered goes to like a 4.5 out of 5. Almost 5 out of 5. If I have ever walked through a lime tree farm I imagine this is what it would smell like. Also I have an urge for a big slice of Key Lime Pie!

So to offer the final rating on the NEW CBL soap base I am going to say it is Tier 1 Box 2. Not quite Elite. The Residual slickness I experienced with the Dec. Grooming Icarus base really blew me away and I think that is going to be hard to top. All other aspects of this soap are there though!

Homefront:

Nothing crazy to report. I have football on the mind! Ready for tonight and ready for my Utes tomorrow. Nothing crazy in yesterday's game. It was a blow out and CRAZY hot! VERY HOT!!! We had a lot of water breaks and just did everything we could to keep that clock running. We are having a mini heat wave right now! I hope it cools down for tomorrow.

Have a great Day Cadre!

Great shave Chad, your honesty on it being Tier 1 is appreciated!

Have a great game tonight.

Chad, I didn't want to scare TJ by posting this in his thread, but this is the species of tarantula that you have.
