Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Razor: Parker Variant
Blade: Rapira (2)
Soap/cream: Mickey Lee The Kraken
Brush: Stirling Finest
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Mickey Lee The Kraken

Okay well today I grabbed a soap that is a solid tier 2 performer for me. But I love the scent. I haven't used it in awhile and I have no good excuse for as to why but I love it. The Kraken is supposed to be an aquatic barbershop, but to me it smells like the dryer after taking out warm clothes. It is an intoxicating scent to me and one I enjoy. The shave today was very nice and I received a great shave.

Homefront:

Well if you remember the Build a Bear fiasco. We received some $15 off coupons for each kid and fulfilled those yesterday. The kids had a great time and we got out of the store I hate the most for under $30 and two happy kids. So it was worth it. Today I am back at the office and I am WAY behind at work as I am still here. But I am catching up at both slowly but surely. As I read through email and sit on conference calls I will be reviewing the journals. Should be a fun read.

Anyways have a great monday Cadre!

I love the way MLS the Kraken smells. I do think that it is aquatic, but I would label it more oceanic. Maybe the way a beach should smell like on the evening when no one is around and the salt air is blowing on you. Good stuff Chad.

Great couple of shaves and pictures Chad!

That's the downside of being out of the office of a week, the catch up!

I could have sworn that I used The Kraken before, but looking at my list, I haven't used that particular scent. Either that, or I had a sample and just didn't care for the scent. But it sounds like it's probably the former, and not the latter.

Thanks Don. I agree with the aquatic notes.

Thanks Craig. Definitely hard to get caught up.

It is definitely worth trying. I love the scent.

If you’ve smelled Tide powdered laundry soap, then there you go.

Razor: Rockwell 6S plate 4
Blade: Rapira (3)
Soap/cream: Chiseled Face Banana
Brush: Rudy Vey 2016 Group Buy
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Stetson
Cologne: Stetson

Well today I grabbed a fun scent the Banana from CFG I really enjoy this scent although I will not get the matching aftershave as I don't want to smell like a banana all day LOL. But if you like the scent of banana then get this soap it is true to banana and not overly sweet. My shave today went real well. And even though I am considering selling my Rockwell I get great shaves from it. So who knows what I will do with it.

None today but I did post a video

Homefront:

Had our first union meeting of the season yesterday afternoon. Got my results and I passed the physical no surprise there. I will be on the field this Friday helping with a scrimmage before the season officially starts! Oh yea back on the field I am so EXCITED!!! I just love this time of year.

Have a great day Cadre.

How does one even find and dig up such a horror from the depths of YouTube?

My wife is a school teacher and one year she went to a conference in Vegas and that woman was one of the guest speakers. My wife came home and said, "You won't believe what this woman wants us to show our students."

So now I will randomly break out in to the banana dance for my wife LOL.

I think we need to see this on video Chad along with the wifes reaction.

Oh, and nice shave!!

So I just need to post this somewhere I am beyond excited!

One of the things they do each year is rank officials. The rankings are 100(best), 200, 300, 400, etc all the way to 800. Each position you get a ranking. The phone call I just received is that my primary position (head linesman) I am a 200 official! I am beyond shocked. Most people to even get near 100 and 200 level it takes 6-8 years, and some guys just never achieve that ranking. I got that ranking and I am entering my 3rd year as a football official. I am beyond shocked, and super excited! This also means I can work playoff games this year potentially! Just nice to see that all my hard work is paying off and going noticed!

Sorry guys but had to toot my own horn for a moment.
