Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Well here I am... the soap is near dead... I feel like just a couple days left is all.

It's friday and here we are the storm front is moving in. The warm before the storm has today climbing to 74, tomorrow the high is 52, then Sunday the high is 38! Hello winter... I think you made a wrong turn and should turn around and let fall come back!

As to football today I got the state TV game once again for the first round of the playoffs. Looking forward to the game. Those interested you can find it here. Kick off is 7PM MT. Schedule Fremont @ Granger

My college season has winded down which was expected as I am first year for those games. So I did take on 3 playoff games tomorrow for little league to help out. After that I am taking Megan out on a date.

Have a good day Cadre.

A lot has happened and life has been busy. But im still shaving about 5 days a week still on the Ethos soap it will never end.

Today I donned my sasquatch socks and our newest daughter Emily was baptized today. Was a wonderful day. Can you tell what watch I'm wearing @BarberDave

The 3017 lifestyle is going strong. So for the next few days I'm going to document to you our most recent trip to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Wasatch State park.

So before we left I had an unexpected expense of $1300 towards tires. Not too bad. And spoiler our total gas bill was $650 roughly.

Now we thought we were crazy bringing three kids but alas this trip was booked and I was determined to get back to what I consider the most beautiful place on earth. Two things almost got me to cry man tears. The first was driving through the gate as I knew the adventure was going to be epic!

We entered West Yellowstone and went through the valley to get to the grand loop road. In the valley we saw an elk herd in the distance and around the bend our first Bison!

We got to the junction at roughly 1pm so we had plenty of time to explore since we left before 6AM. So we headed towards Norris Geyser Basin. 20230616_143527.jpg

Then we made some stops at Gibbons Falls.

After this we drove back to the Madison Campground.

Proceeded to have a fire, dinner, and smores. I also enjoyed a Cigar.

After that we walked a short distance to watch a sunset and take in the beautiful scenery right near our campground

Day 1 was a lot of miles. And we know we are all tired and ready for the next day.

I drove near Yellowstone a couple of times, but was always in a hurry to get across the continent, so I didn't stop. Foolish. Looking forward to your travelogue.

I'm trying to hear your narration in Marlon Perkin's voice......but I keep hearing your voice instead. Oh well......it looks amazing.

Day 2 of Yellowstone will be two posts.

The goal today is the Old Faithful geyser basin and surrounding areas. This is why people attend Yellowstone. The awe of the geysers. And the world has roughly 1300 active geysers. Over 700 of them are at Yellowstone!

So woke up and of course coffee needs to be had

Then outside to pull wheel chocks and hit the road! We have 40 min drive to Old Faithful.

The nice thing about traveling in a motorhome is that we have everything with us. And well I have my family with us and we all need to eat. So at the half way point I pulled over along the river and we enjoyed breakfast.

Now we are on the way to Old Faithful. We made it!

Old Faithful goes off every 90 minutes. We arrived and have ten minutes to go. This also got the emotions going because I knew the awe was going to take over.

After Old Faithful did it's thing we went to the visitor center to get the kids their Jr Ranger books. And of course a Bison was blocking the entrance.

Now the goal is to see more geysers.

My son after getting info from the Rangers led the way.

And one of his favorite geysers was Sposmadic.
