Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Wendy told me that the scent in it was carrot. Not sure if she meant actual carrot, or like a carrot top scent, but it literally does smell like carrot tops. I've told this to Chris, but I'm not sure if he's ever actually tried a carrot scent.
I've searched high and low, there isn't a carrot top to be found. I do however have a version in the works that will be on the market soon.

I kept a bottle of St Charles Patchouli cologne in my work desk for awhile. It turned out to be so alluring to my female colleagues that I had to bring it home, as the crowds of nubile nurses that gathered around me made work difficult.

Safe travels Chad! Have a great time!

Glad you were comfortable enough to come out of the Talc closet with us!

Such is life, Bruce.

Razor: TSC Feather Kamisori
Blade: Feather ProGuard (2)
Soap/cream: McVeyMac Lemongrass
Brush: Envy Shave Ute Brush
Aftershave1: Lucky Tiger
Aftershave2: Aqua Velva Musk

Well a shave was had today, and some additional hair was removed as promised for the TSC call today. The shave went well, and there are only a few shaves left on the soap and the AV Musk. All in all a good shave.

Nothing crazy to report. Getting caught up at work with the new rule of no meetings on the last Wednesday of the month. Have a big deadline on the 30th so it is nice to have a day to play catch up. I'll admit I truly love getting away from the real world in the motorhome and actually relaxing for awhile. But once home reality sets back in and I am really struggling at home. 2020 can just go to hell. And now with the threat of shutting the state of Utah back down, that would ruin our trip to Bryce Canyon National Park next week. I really don't understand why it is so hard to wear a mask while in a public place like the grocery store, or to stay home while sick. Every day there is a story of someone going to work being knowingly sick, because they wanted to get "stuff" before their test result came back because ya know you are only contagious when you are confirmed positive. I have considered just taking a break from all social media, news outlets, etc aside from TSC and just being done for awhile, but we shall see. I enjoy connecting with family etc but even that is pretty hositle now with everything going on in our country. The pandemic needs to end and the election needs to be over.

yeah. I have seen more folk wearing masks since they were made "mandatory" but a lot of people still are not wearing them.

I have very seriously considered getting rid of FB several times. at this point it is pretty much just a repository of a bunch of old pictures i don't have elsewhere. every time i scroll more than a couple minutes my faith in humanity takes a hit and i have to run back here to find it again.

I'm sorry the bad apples have to ruin everybody's fun. Just hang in there, dude.

I agree Chad. The selfishness of our society has gotten out of hand. Gone are the days where you consider others in your actions. Unplugging from social media sounds like a good idea, but that is entirely up to you. Hope you feel better buddy!

Razor: Muhle R41
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Permasharp (8)
Soap/cream: McVeyMac Lemongrass
Brush: AP Shave Co. Yellow
Aftershave1: Lucky Tiger
Aftershave2: Aqua Velva Musk
Talc: King Talc

Well another shave and blogging it two days in a row. The shave was pretty nice using the Muhle R41, I did have one minor cut that bled like a bugger and styptic had to be used. But aside from that the shave was grand. I think 3-4 shaves left on the current soap, then I have a few new soaps to give a go, and then I will pick another one for hte next 3017 adventure. I know that @dkeester has been using a Razorock soap with good success and I acutally really like Razorock soaps I think they serve a purpose in this hobby and they provide consistent results for me. I anticipate always having a few in my den.

The heat is here, not as bad as AZ but still here. Been planning our route down to Bryce Canyon next week. I think we will take the more scenic route down which adds about 30 minutes and then take the faster way home, so it feels quicker. Out for delivery today is a steering stabilizer for motorhome which I hope helps with the sway. My dad has a huge garage and enough tools that he doens't know how to use them all, so a quick trip to my parents house this weekend will be in order to install the stabilizer. Anyways have a good Cadre.

Great report Chad! Really happy for you that this motor home deal has been working out for ya!
