Well I am back and shaving again. Haven't shaved since last Friday and it sure felt great to remove the whiskers. I used the new Triumph and I am glad I picked this up. It is a nice scent and was a great price too.

Homefront

Well back from a great camping trip, although it was very hot. As a heat wave was coming through. We were at 8500+ ft above sea level and the temps on Monday hovered around 98 degrees. Thankfully we hung around the lake. We went to town twice one time to get milkshakes, second time to get snowcone, and also grabbed a kiddie pool on one of the trips. That helped keep us cool as we could soak our feet. It was so beautiful up there and we just really enjoyed the outdoors. Can't wait to get back out there. We are talking about selling the tent trailer and buying a used RV. We camp on average 8-10 times a year so renting for each trip would probably not be worth it. We can't decide what to do. All I know is camping is a great vacation with the kids because it gets them out doors and away from TV. I do feel re-energized and going to play catch up here which will take awhile, also at work today so you know a couple hundred emails to read.

Have a good day cadre

Glad you had a good escape!

When I was young (I know, I know, a couple year ago...not really) my family ran the gambit of mobile camping units too. We did stop short of an RV, but we did do tents, a cab-over, a pop up trailer, and a regular trailer. If you plan to keep up the outings for the foreseeable future, I say go for it!

Ah the used RV, a great memory. The Financial Advisor in me always recommends against buying anything newer than your age minus the number of times you think you will use it (just my way of saying buy something very used) then use the heck out of it. We had a couple old RV's growing up and it served us well. The main thing to consider is its mechanical operation and the things that will./wont break when it is sitting or traveling. The bonus (or risk) with an RV is the ability to stash tools and "stuff" in all the compartments so you always have whatever you want or need when you are away from home. I wouldn't mind having an old motorhome but with my kids getting older I'm more in the mood for a simple tent trailer that is easily towed with my wifes van or my big ol truck. I am ok with a blow up mattress in the van and campsite facilities and take out meals.

Like Chris my family has used them all while I was growing up. Go for it.

We are really considering it.

We would definitely go used. No way I would buy brand new. I really want to stay under 20k.

I am assuming you mean soap, aftershave, brushes, razors, and blades that don't fit into the house! 🤪

Glad you were able to recharge Chad!

Thanks Don

Nice get away! And the new Triumph scent ... man I’m waiting for that to hit my mailbox.

You will love it.

Like Chris my family has used them all while I was growing up. Go for it.

I grew up camping in trailers but never an RV.

I love getting out and "just sitting in the woods" - I don't drink the beer. Unfortunately, my wife had some miserable experiences camping as a child (six people in one tent, rain, mud, etc.) and won't consider it. Bummer. Sounds like like a great time was had by all.

Okay well first a shout out to @gvw755 I won his PIF a while back and he sent me this soap. This was my first time using it. It was awesome. The lather is grayish black and the performance was very good. I think it could have taken on more water to help with slickness but the post shave was REALLY GOOD! This is a soap I want to use a couple more times before offering up a rating but I was impressed, and it performed better out of the gate than I expected. The scent is also great! Smells so good, reminds me of a nice key lime scent with just an undertone of eucalyptus. For Lime lovers this is a winner on scent alone.

Homefront:

Nothing overly crazy to report today. Busy at work, but free now for a few hours so going to play catch up. Hoping to also see Lion King this weekend. Have a great day Cadre.

Well today was a nice shave with what was on the counter. Didn't fish out a soap last night so the LEA cream did the trick. The shave was effortless, walked away BBS.

Well work should slow down a little bit, I have a policy I need to write this week, which is always fun for me as I get to use my legal background. Megan and the kids head out of town Wednesday afternoon, so I will be by myself until Sunday. I am considering taking Friday off of work just relax at home but we shall see. Studying and preparing for the football test in two weeks. Football is right around the corner and I have been working some football camps for local high schools. Feels so good to be out on the field again. Anyways hope you all have a great day.

All I read is that there's a party at your house. I'm on my way! Sounds you're having a fun summer, even with the day job getting in the way.
