Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Razor: Colonial General
Blade: Feather Pro (7)
Soap/cream: CBL Ghost Banana
Brush: Razorock Disruptor
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: AV Balm
Cologne: Stirling Executive Man

Well not sure why but I reached for the Banana today. Then while reading the forum I saw @Dave in KY posts and I reminded myself he was discussing it, and like it mentioned in his video "I have a sudden urge for a banana!" So that must be it. Great soap and great scent! Hmmm what weird scent choice could we go with next? Maybe Hawaiian Pizza? hmmm.....

Well the appraisal was yesterday and that was an experience that will make you question your career choices. She was at the house for 20 min, took a couple pictures, said "i'll look at comps", and was paid $750. GEEZ!!!! All I hope is that the appraisal is around what we are expecting it to be. Tonight we are going to my parent's for dinner. Tomorrow I am in charge of a 3rd degree initiation tomorrow morning for the Knights, then in the afternoon will have some family over for Sadie's birthday party.

Have a great Friday Cadre.

Geez, that's not what an appraisal costs around here.... more like $200-$300.

I've been curious about the woodlands. I kept asking her about it, but never saw that it was actually released. I was hoping for a woody/foresty scent.... not the case? Not wild about your cologney description.

good Stuff Chad and 750? Wow that is high, our about 150-250, Good shave and busy weekend

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Treet Silver (1)
Soap/cream: Clown Puke
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Cetaphil Daily Lotion
Cologne: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man

Well today I had a nice shave even though the blade wasn't the best. I had really enjoyed all my shaves with the General but it was time to get back into the bad blade reviews. All this talk about the Vectors has me getting the itch as well. Blast all of you! The shave was nice and I really enjoyed it.

Well had a busy weekend yesterday had to head over to the church for a Knight's Function where we put some members through the second degree. Was a nice ceremonial. Then home for my Daughter's princess birthday party. Was another nice event and was a good time with family. Today we had mass and a trip to Costco so you know $250 later UGH!

My wife and I are looking into all the different mattress options as our current mattress is causing us both to wake up with sore backs. Think we are going to try our hand at one of those vacuum packed mattresses and see how they go, but trying to not break the bank. Anyone have any recommendations?

Anyways have a great day cadre!

Sounds like a great family day (sans Costo bill of course)!

Any local mattress stores you can just go to and check out a variety at? Then price shop?

I did the mattress thing a few months ago I’m glad I got it over with but it was miserably stressful

What did you ultimately pick again? We are thinking one of the bed in a box things but so many options ranging from $340 to $3500 it's crazy!

Curious to hear your mattress choice. We’ll be in the market soon. And $750 for an appraisal?!? Did you order 2 by accident or something???

Razor: Game Changer .84
Blade: Treet Silver (2)
Soap/cream: LNHC Coconut Oud
Brush: TSC Member Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Pinaud Lime Sec
Cologne: B&BW Lime Coriander

Well following the theme which is Artisan week we are showcasing @LNHC I grabbed the Coconut Oud and had a great lather, and shave. As we all know this soap can take on a lot of water, and you are rewarded when you add more water. I also really like this scent which I consider one of her better ones. My shave went as well as it could have with this disaster of a blade but at least the post shave of the soap and scents made up for it.

Well my wife and mother went out for tattoos last night so I was put on Mr. Mom duties. We watching Lion King, made popcorn, and of course had a tea party as required by my daughter. After getting them to bed I grabbed the bottle of Elijah Craig and settled in to watch some NBA, the whiskey was going down so smooth. 3 drinks later I had apparently fallen asleep in the recliner and my wife woke me up when she got home. THen sadly 5:15 came pretty early this morning. But I am surviving. We have a storm rolling in that hits tomorrow evening through Saturday. Rain during the day and snow overnight apparently. Maybe my lawn won't get it's first mow this weekend. I did fertilize a couple days ago, so I expect it to really take off soon. We also started a lot of garden inside with plans to transplant into the garden in May some time. I really looking forward to munching on some garden fresh tomatoes!

Have a good day cadre.

What'd they get?

I have never really been a tattoo guy, nothing against them but I just can't think of anything I would want. But my wife has always wanted a couple. A few months back she got the beauty and the beast rose on her back shoulder. Yesterday she got a small cross on her inside wrist with a rose bud in the middle. Both look really nice.

My mom did an anchor with flowers to signify my grandpa who served in the Navy and has since passed on.
