Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

For all I know you're the one who sent it to me. Someone has to own up to it
nope, nada, nine, No Way

I can’t believe no one has owned this yet! I have to say I’ve always wondered about that shave butter. My wife used the DSC handle and blades but never ordered the butter. I never knew it went on clear like that. It’s kind of weird.

Razor: Feather SS
Blade: Feather Pro (1)
Soap/cream: CBL Soap Cherry Blossom and Bamboo
Brush: TSC Member Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Aqua Velva Balm

Well today I was ready for a bad blade review but I opted for a straight shave today instead. In fact it was #217, and it was a great one. The soap performed wonderfully and my wife walked in while I was shaving to get ready for the day and walked over grabbed the tub and used it for her shave as well. I might have just lost this soap LOL. It is definitely on the floral side but it is awesome! I went for a real basic aftershave because my eczema has been flaring up and the extra moisture was needed.

So as I mentioned yesterday I officiated the men's and women's championship games for the NorthWest Association for the Deaf Basketball League (NWADB). This was actually a very humbling experience. And super fun. Obviously all the players were deaf some 100% and some just legally. So some could hear a little bit. But they all knew sign language. We had interpreters at the scores table and each coach also had an interpreter because they were all deaf. So was the score's table. In the gym they had strobe lights on the wall. When we needed to blow the whistle we would then the other two officials would crash the play hands in the air to stop action. If for some reason we were not seen then someone would turn on the lights and that always stopped play. But honestly my favorite part was after player introductions when someone signed the national anthem. The energy she put into it was absolutely stunning! I also felt really bad because all we knew was the colors needed black, red, white, and green, and how to sign ball. I felt so bad that here are these men and women who are super athletic and we can't even communicate with them properly. Honestly sign language should be required at school in my opinion. Connor's school teaches all the kids english, spanish, and sign language I am considering learning sign with him. The boys game was a team from Wyoming vs. a team from Oregon. The girls game was a team from Vancouver vs. a team from Utah. If you search out NWADB you can find video of the games on facebook, and even see yours truly on the court. These were probably the funnest games I have ever worked, and an all around amazing experience.

Anyways have a great day cadre.

Awesome experience Chad. I agree, everyone should learn sign language. My cousin is a sign language interpreter. She loves it.

Sounds like a very humbling experience Chad. Pretty cool you got to be a part of it. Nice work with the straight shave as well. I need to start making myself do those more often.

Very cool Chaddo. I think sign language has come up a time or two. I took a community college class with my mom once. Figured it would be good if I ever had a dead patient. Can’t say I’ve ever had the chance to use it even if I remembered. Of course that’s the problem. If you don’t have anyone to use it with, it just goes away.

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Perma Sharp (1)
Soap/cream: CBL Soap Outlaw
Brush: Stirling Marble Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Stetson

Well what a shave today. The Outlaw is a perfect match for Stetson. Chris has sent me renditions over the years and each one gets better and better, but not sure how he can best himself this time. The scent is awesome and the performance is well... you all know. If you like Stetson at all you need to pick this up.

Busy day in the office today as I am taking tomorrow off. Tomorrow we have two companies coming by to give quotes on the windows. Even though we are going to be busy tomorrow I am looking forward to sleeping in. Going to be nice. The weather this week is supposed to get to 60 degrees so looking forward to that as well!

Have a great Monday Cadre.

Nice shave Chad. That soap sounds a winner in name and scent! Good luck with the window quotes. We did ours the year we bought our house. They say it’s one of the better investments you can make in your home. It really does make a difference in your hearing and cooling bills. With that heat wave coming it sounds like you’ll need them! 😂😂😂
