Oh no! I hadn't thought of that. But, I'm picturing it as more of a group activity with one conference room dedicated to streaming lopped cadre videos. Or maybe a big TV mounted on the wall and the end of a row of cubicles playing YouTube.

The way I hear it, on non conference days, Chad’s pretty much got the whole floor to himself. He plays basketball in the big conference room, squash in the smaller, and erects forts out of the smaller cubicles.

You’ll get settled in and then everything will be groovy

I'm working on it. LOL

Hmmm I know just the room! Has 96" of monitor on the wall!

I plead the 5th

I wonder if Chad's company is hiring.....

We are always hiring. Salt Lake, Chicago, and Phoenix

Razor: Assured TTO $1
Blade: Assured (1)
Soap/cream: Chiseled Face Trade Winds (29)
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Chiseled Face Trade Winds (29)

Well today the CFG TW officially died. I scooped the last little tiny bit out and built the lather in my copper bowl. As has been the norm I got a great lather. The soap lasting 29 shaves isn’t bad but honestly I expected it to last longer than it did. I also used the Assured razor and blade. One side of the blade performed well the other side did not. So I basically treated the razor like a SE instead of DE. While the shave wasn’t perfect it actually provided a nice DFS shave. I did have to be careful and the pulling was annoying but it did work.

Homefront:

It has been a hell of a day at the office today. I am just slammed! I am going to try and get caught up this evening and that might be the new norm as things have slightly changed at work. I used to have more free time to access while at work and multi task, but with a big initiative we have going that is planned for install the end of April that is just not possible.

Hope you all are having a great day!

It’s seems like a lot of us are ramping things up at work now that we’re in full swing in the new year. Can’t we just go back to the last 2 weeks of December where lollygagging is almost encouraged?

What I would give for that. First time in awhile I am starting to feel overworked.

Razor: Assured TTO $1
Blade: Assured (2)
Soap/cream: Central Texas Soaps Mr Pepper
Brush: Paladin pk47
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Central Texas Soaps Mr Pepper

Okay 3 phases to today’s review.

First the razor. The second shave actually went pretty well I got everything aligned properly. Found the good side of the blade and continued treating it like an SE. The Shave still had tugging and pulling but like Josh mentioned if you ride the cap you can get a decent result. All in all this is just okay. I really have no desire to use it though. But in a pinch I guess it is good to know if I can find a Dollar Tree I can use it.

Now the soap. This is a West Coast Shaving exclusive. And while I don’t drink a lot of soda if I do it is Dr. Pepper. So I wanted this soap. And I figured it was an opportunity to try this artisan. The soap was nice but real slick as I would like. Here are the ingredients:

Ingredients- Coconut Oil, Stearic Acid, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Aloe Vera, Glycerin, Water, Potassium Hydroxide, Bentonite Clay, and Fragrance

Seeing the clay that usually is a sign of a slick soap. Plus throw in glycerin. I wonder if my water ratio was off. I think I will use it again tomorrow but this time bowl lather and add more water and see what happens. I will say that the post shave feel was nice.

Now the aftershave. Not sure what happened here but it LIT me up! Almost as bad as CBL’s Christmas Memories. But it disappeared quicker. I don’t think it is the fragrances as I did use the soap no problem. Unless it is at a higher concentration… maybe? Here are the ingredients:

Aloe Leaf Juice, Witch Hazel, Denat. Alcohol, White Willow Bark Extract, Glycerin, Tea tree Oil, Polysorbate 20, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, menthol, and Fragrance

Anyone know of a common irritant listed there?

Still super busy at work. Ended up working nearly 11 hours yesterday, then fell asleep on the couch when I wanted to read and watch some TSC. Well that didn’t happen obviously. Sorry folks I am behind. But I am taking tomorrow off to attend a program at my son’s school in the morning so perhaps I will be able to sit down with the laptop and get caught up some tomorrow. That is the plan.

Have a good day cadre.

When I first saw when you got that soap, I thought that might be something I would like. But I'm still on the fence about a sugary sweet smell.

I saw this when WCS released it and definitely caught my attention. Like Dave said though, I’m not sure about the potential sugary sweet smell.

All good man, git er dun!

Thank you

It is not overly sweet honestly. Has a nice spice element to it. And I think that is what in the aftershave lit me up.

It is a nice soap, but not my favorite. I do like the scent. Read today's entry

Razor: Assured TTO $1
Blade: Assured (3)
Soap/cream: Central Texas Soaps Mr Pepper
Brush: Envy Shave Ute Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Central Texas Soaps Mr Pepper

Blood blood blood!!! Yea these blades aren't made for 3 full shaves. OUCH!!! Geez that was bad. The razor is still holding up though. I got 3 nice cuts and irritation. The blades are trash. The razor is well a buck so there's that.

I pretty much did the exact same shave today but transferred to a bowl and used a synthetic, I slowly added water and realized this soap is definitely thirsty. I got a much better lather, and the slickness was better. The bad shave was NOT due to the soap that is for sure. After using it a couple days in a row honestly this is not a tier 1 soap. but it is a good soap. This is a tier 2 box 5 soap. Pick it up if there is a scent that is unique or interests you, but it isn't going to wow anyone in performance in my opinion. But it is a solid performer and you will get good shaves.

The aftershave is definitely the culprit to the face irritation. Instantly red again. I think there is cinnamon in it to be honest. I get a hint of it in the aftershave.

None since it is realy similar to yesterdays

Well had one of those nights as a parent. Connor ended up with a bit of food poisoning we think. Woke up at 10:30 throwing up in his bed and room, then at 1AM throwing up in our bed. Was a long night. Then woke up feeling great like nothing happened. Already had the day off since it is Parent's and Grandparent's day at his school. We attended the program it was very nice. Today we are preparing for his birthday tomorrow. I can't believe that my baby boy is going to be 5 years old tomorrow. Breaks my heart.

Have a good day cadre.

I guess if there was a scent that really looked good I’d try some Central Texas Soap, but based on your review I’m not running out to find any.

The Dollar Razor bites again! ???
At least you got your 3 shaves in and now you can move on to something better!

Bummer about the kiddo being sick, but at least it was quick and over before his birthday. 5 years old huh? He’s at a great age. Old enough to start being interested in things and developing his own personality, but too young to think you’re too old ???! Happy birthday Connor!

Oh man, the ole sheet washing shuffle. Glad to hear it was just a one night engagement.

Sorry to hear the little guy wasn't feeling well. I hope it doesn't interfere with birthday cake and ice cream today! Five years old...do you feel like an old man yet Chad?

Happy Birthday Connor!
