Thats cool you made the best of a bad situation. Strange that noone showed up or answered their phone, raises more questions that answers. Hats off to you Chad for helping the kids to still manage to have a good time.
 
Garner the good will! I bet those coaches will remember what you and the other refs did for quite a while!

Oh my! What a shave. The Variant delivered an exceptional shave. The soap is on its last leg. It might have 5 more shaves in it. We shall see. Still getting small chunks of soap though in the brush, which is odd. I have 3017ed some other soaps before and have never experienced this before.

Is it saturday? Geez what a day. Yesterday evening I worked the double header. And remember me saying that some games are played on Saturdays due to referee shortage? Well I had a TRIPLE header today. The Freshman, JV, and Varsity. Then a trip to the store to order Connor's birthday cake for next week. And last a stop at the party store to get stuff for his dinosaur party. Now finally home and relaxing with the family. I love officiating, but come the end of basketball season I am ready for like a two week break.

I have no idea how your knees hold up under the strain of all this pounding on basketball courts. I remember my playing days in high school. For the most part, the schools had wood floors that had nice flex...like a court should be. But since we played in a district that didn't have the most affluent of schools...there were also some that had cafeteria style tile floors and others had much harder courts. One high school had a roller rink they coveted to a basketball court. Which is all fine and dandy until you realize that the court was concrete. Anyway, what I am saying is that i am sure some of the places you officiate are not the most optimal constructed courts. Take care of your legs man!

Trust Me some gyms are better than others. I make sure to wear really good shoes, but usually by the end of the season shin splints have settled in.

yesterday a cold starting settling in,and the chest congestions is definitely there today, which really sucks. Downing some dayquil throughout the day hoping to kick this bug quickly. Sorry I have been absent. Trying to get caught up.

Hows the AS holding up vs your soap in the 3017? One going to go out a little sooner than the other? Or will they go out about the same time?

Oh the sickness sucks. Sore throat set in this afternoon. Hoping while running tomorrow I can sweat it all out.

Well today the shave went well, and I am left with a very small amount of soap left. I am thinking 1-2 shaves left. I am going to take scrape all the soap out and put it in the middle again for tomorrow's shave.

Well in the new office digs and the open floor concept is interesting. Yesterday I noticed it was louder than normal, but there are more meeting rooms, so I found myself heading in there to take conference calls etc, the downside is by doing that I lose my dual monitors and am forced to work off of the laptop only. This is going to be an adjustment. The basketball season is winding down just a couple weeks left. Tonight I work a double header. And I am counting on Tylenol cold to get me through it.
