CBL version of Williams Tonsorial Shaving Soap

This soap sounds great. I can't wait for it to be on the market so I can buy some and then eventually 3017 it all.

Four (4) shaves in and I am sold 100%.

I can think on no better way for me to state how good this soap is than to provide my "forever" soap list:
- CBL Tonsorial/Premium
- Tabac

It has knocked Mitchell's Wool Fat and Martin de Candre off of the list.

Chris, this means that I need about a year's notice should you retire from soap making so I can stockpile. :p

You guys better go run out and get your Beta pucks while they are cheap...... I'm giving you all a head start before I start clearing the aisles!

Let's repost in the right thread this time......

I got my samples from @Dave in KY today. (Thanks Dave!!!!)

I was hesitant to shave today due to some pretty bad neck irritation. I dislocated my collarbone years ago carrying some pipe that should have probably been done with machinery and never got it fixed. Now I have arthritis in my shoulder and it has been really bothering me the last 2 weeks. Tried some kind of lidocaine stuff and now my shoulder and neck are all irritated and broke out.

But... I did it anyway. I asked the boss to pick a scent, she said neither were her favorite but preferred money of the two. This stuff lathers extremely well! It really does feel like the old williams or old spice. Very slick and creamy. I used my home-made handle with a tech head and had absolutely no issues even where the irritation is.
Post shave is good, but doesn't feel quite like the other base or Lisa's. Not bad by any means, just the other two feel like they have some extra goodies in there.
Still ended up with a soft feel and just enough hydration post shave.

@CBLindsay You did a damn fine job with this Chris. I'm definitely going to order some in the future, but I think I'm going to wait on some of the other scents to become available. I'm definitely not going to worry about hunting anymore vintage williams or OS now for sure. This definitely has them beat. Same great feel, only better.

Broke mine in a motorcycle wreck 35 years ago and never went to the ER. Healed back but in wrong spot. I feel your pain and nothing seems to help. Sorry to say it will only get worse with age, this know to well............Sorry for the irritation on top of that.

For everyone who got beta pucks..... it takes a little work, but you can get them formed into tubs. I recommend putting one whole puck in, and forming another around it. I described what I did better in today’s video.

I stickified the last bit of my Jeris (works great in that form as well BTW!) and will be doing the same with my Oatmeal Stout and LFM samples.
