First I've been on for a few days, and I noticed a new vendor. Found my way to the website. It has a *small* ad for TSC. Hmmm. Since the soaps are tallow, I decided to spring for one. Let the record show I just ordered a tub of something called "Tabacaveg" soap. I was eyeing Black Rose Oud, but was swayed by the notion that choosing Tabacaveg supports this site. I hope I don't regret this... ?

Well, the quality of CBL Soaps is amazing. As to Tabacaveg, I love it, but have you ever mixed up the AS? That’s how you’ll know if you’re going to love the scent.

No, I've never tried it, so I'll have to wait and see. If it performs well, I'll be happy.

Woo-hoo, The TabacaVeg has arrived! Impressive packaging. I'll use it tomorrow and post a review in the Review forum.

I look forward to hearing what you think. Tabacaveg is a labor of love with a very unique scent profile and wonderful (in my opinion) performance.

The TSC scent sounds great but I'm all set for soaps for quite a while. Citrusy vetivers are probably my favorite type of scent.

i love a good Vetiver, bright and citrusy or dark and Smokey. The TSC scent is very bright because of the neroli and lime and has a background of vetiver that if not for the citrus would have been a deeper and earthier note. I think it all plays very well.

i will be making a vetiver and a vetiver lime at some point but it probably won’t be until 2019.

You absolutely must try it. Send me your address and I’ll get you a sample.

What exactly is the scent of TSC? Is it a limited edition? It's nowhere to be found on the website.
From the site:
The Shaving Cadre is a scent reflective of the comradery that inspired the creation of The Shaving Cadre (TSC) Forum. Just as the three owners formed a partnership to make the forum possible, three scents profiles have come together to form The Shaving Cadre’s signature scent.Dave (Xenostr8shaver) contributed Neroli, a citrusy, floral scent with both bitter and sweet undertones.Chad (Cvargo) contributed Lime, a fresh, vibrant and slightly tart citrus scent.Chris (CBLindsay) contributed Vetiver, earthy and woody with hints of smoke and whisps of green. When combined, the three scents project a unified and complex fragrance that is as surprising as it is pleasing.

I’ve done some rearranging, the TSC Scent is shown first now. The scent is a combination of neroli, bergamot, lime and vetiver.

Thank you, gentlemen. Order placed. ?

I recently won a tub of Black Rose Oud from our last Bingo game, and Chris was "kind" enough to throw in a sample of TABACAVEG (if you know how SWMBO reacted to The Veg, you understand the quotes around the word "kind"). To my surprise, she actually thought the combo smelled nice when she sniffed it. Color me stunned!

Thank you, gentlemen. Order placed.

I appreciate the Order Bruce, I got it in the mail this morning. I included a small tub (3oz) of a veggie base soap I call "50 shades of vetiver", a Grey Vetiver like scent. This is the soap I made in the soap making 101 demo a month or two back.
